It seems like Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt has a whole new set of sisters to call her own!
At Spelman College, the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt has pledged her allegiance to the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
Zahara began her conversation with her new sisters by introducing herself and said, “Hello, my name is Zahara Marley Jolie.” And after traveling all the way from the Golden State, I finally arrived at the City of Angels, which is Los Angeles, in the state of California.
The 18-year-old sophomore is shown in a brand new video that was published by Essence with her fellow Alpha Kappa Alpha sisters. She breaks out into dancing as she makes her introduction to the energized throng.
The undergraduate student at Spelman College joined the first historically Black sorority’s Mu Pi Chapter as a member. The Alpha Kappa Alpha fraternity was formed in 1908, and the Mu Pi chapter was chartered in the year 1979.
In 2022, Zahara started her studies as an undergraduate at the HBCU, and her mother, who was 48 at the time, was spotted accompanying her on move-in day in August.
In a jubilant post on Instagram a few weeks before the beginning of classes, the actress from “The Eternals” revealed that her daughter had decided to enroll at the educational institution. Jolie shared a picture on Instagram of her daughter Zahara posing with some of her fellow students, captioning the image, “Zahara with her Spelman sisters!”
“Congratulations to all new students starting this year,” Jolie said online.
“A very special place and an honor to have a family member as a new Spelman girl,” said Jolie further.
Jolie and Zahara had a meeting with the President of Spelman College, Dr. Helene Gayle, as well as the Vice President for Student Affairs, Darryl Holloman, when Zahara was moving into her dorm room. They commemorated the event by posting images on Instagram and sharing their reactions.
On the campus of Spelman College, Jolie and Gayle posed for the first shot together. Holloman recorded a video of the two ladies having a conversation as she was doing so. Jolie said, “I’m gonna start crying!,” when she was asked how she felt about becoming the mother of Spelman. I had not begun to weep as of yet.”
The president of the institution quipped that there would be “plenty of time to cry” during the next event, which she hinted was designed to “purposely induce [tears] — bring it all out.”
“I heard tomorrow night’s the big night,” answered Jolie. “I’ll be there.” “I’m holding it together.”
Jolie and Pitt are also the parents of her twin children, Vivienne and Knox, who are now 15, as well as Shiloh, 17, Pax, 19, and Maddox, 22.
