Within the caption of the shot, Jamie Lee Curtis dropped hints about a possible ‘Freaky Friday’ sequel.
Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis have reconciled their differences and are back together. On Friday, the older actress teased a possible return to their on-screen mother-daughter roles by posting a new selfie with her Freak Friday co-star on Instagram. The two of them are shown together in the photo.
“It’s too late. ” YOU Matured into Such a Charming Young Lady! Curtis captioned the photo before making a reference to the movie that came out in 2003, which is something that she is free to do now that the SAG-AFTRA strike is over.
“Well, it’s Friday, and the strike is over so hopefully, we can switch places again in the near future!” Curtis was able to contribute.
Since starring as Tess and Anna in the body swap comedy together, Curtis and Lohan have maintained a strong friendship. In fact, Curtis even sent Lohan a baby gift following the birth of her son, demonstrating just how close they are.

“Jamie is my favorite. “I would absolutely love to work together again, and we have spoken, so we will see what happens,” Lohan said in an interview with ET in November of 2022. “I believe that when you work with such wonderful individuals, you always want to have the opportunity to work with them again, particularly when such a significant amount of time has elapsed since your last collaboration. And to be able to share those memories with a new audience and bring something amazing back to life for a different generation to see, I believe it is the greatest thing that could ever happen.”
Curtis had a similar sentiment, stating in an interview with The New York Times in May that “as I went around the world with Halloween Ends, people wanted to know if there was going to be another Freaky Friday.” Something struck a chord with me very deeply. After I got home, I phoned several of my friends who worked at Disney and said, “It seems like there should be a movie made about this.”
Later on during same month, Entertainment Tonight heard that Disney is working on a sequel to the film and that both Curtis and Lohan are in discussions to reprise their roles. Elyse Hollander, a newbie screenwriter who is most known for creating the screenplay Blonde Ambition, is now working on a project. Blonde Ambition was highly regarded on the Black List.
