Tattoos are a fantastic medium for expressing one’s personality, and the distinctive designs that people choose for their bodies may be seen as a reflection of their admiration for art. It is also a wonderful way to start a discussion since people will inquire about the inspiration behind a particular tattoo.
Even though getting a tattoo in the modern world is becoming more acceptable into society, with more and more professionals flaunting their inked bodies in a variety of fields, there are still people who might have gone too far with their decision to cover their skin with tattoos to the point where no businesses would consider hiring them anymore. Even though getting a tattoo in the modern world is becoming more accepted into society, there are still people who might have gone too far with their decision to cover their skin with tattoos.
A woman by the name of Melissa Sloan, who had over 800 tattoos on her body and was anxious to acquire a job despite the fact that no places would employ her for the position that she desired, is an example of someone who fits this description.

The mother of two children disclosed this information in an interview with the Daily Star in the year 2022. She said that she received her first tattoo when she was 20 years old. Since then, she has consistently continued to acquire more tattoos.
“Her tattoos, which include motifs such as spiderwebs, crosses, and cursive letters, were largely done by her boyfriend at home in a style they referred to as “jail style.”
Sloan said over the course of the conversation that she gets more than three tattoos every week, and she revealed that she had become “addicted” to getting tattoos and was unable to stop getting them. Unfortunately, her weekly routine took a turn for the worst when she was no longer able to get employment due to the fact that she had been rejected for jobs on several occasions.
Sloan managed to take everyone by surprise on March 23, 2023, when she released an extremely rare flashback picture on her website, which showed her look prior to the application of tattoos on her face. Continue reading to find out further information about Sloan and her adventure.
Sloan revealed that one of her prior jobs was cleaning restrooms while she was speaking with the Daily Star about her background in the workforce. Despite this, it didn’t persist for very long.
According to what she said to the publication, “if someone offered me a job tomorrow I would go and work – I would take that offer,” it seems that she would accept any position as long as the company is ready to work with her.
The lady continued by saying that she was used to getting treated like this from other people since she was unable to blend in with society. Sloan, despite the fact that she was not receiving adequate employment, continued to keep her feet on the ground and would not compromise her tattoos.
“They don’t have to pay attention to what I have to say. However, I won’t be moving anywhere,” she continued.
Sloan’s personal life had been impacted, which included her attendance at the school where her children were enrolled, in addition to her predicament with her professional life.
Sloan said in a second interview that she was barred from entering the school where her children were enrolled due to the way she looked, which prevented her from seeing the nativity play that her children were performing over the holiday season.
Due to the fact that she looked too intimidating, the instructors did not let her attend the performance of her own children and instead forced her to “go to the back garden” and watch the event from a window instead.
“I feel so envious because I can’t go there and to the Christmas fayre because I know what they’re like toward me (teachers and parents),” she continued. “I feel so jealous because I can’t go there and to the Christmas fayre.”
Sloan is in for a rough ride since not everyone appreciates her style, and some of those individuals even have the nerve to criticize her in front of her kids.
In a piece that was published in 2022 by the publication, the mother of two said that she had gone shopping at one point to get some clothing for her children so that they could wear it to school.
The ordeal was a living hell for her since people were staring at her as if she were some kind of “freak.”
In spite of the fact that her spouse is the primary source of her body art, she does not shy away from visiting tattoo parlors on occasion.
On the other hand, it seems that some businesses gave up on her since she told the source that “When I had this done [my face], there’s one about five miles up the road and they won’t do it… They won’t assist me because I’m beyond the point of no return; I’ve crossed the line.
There was also a time when the establishments “shut the door” on her and refused to let her come inside. Before she covered her face with tattoos, many people referred to Sloan as “beautiful.”
She shared an old picture of herself on social media in March 2023, which was taken before she received her first tattoo.
Users of several social media platforms discussed Sloan’s recent makeover, with many of them expressing the idea that her huge collection of tattoos has negatively affected her beauty.
“This is the very first time in my whole life that I have ever considered that tattoos harmed the appearance of another person. Someone other expressed their opinion, “She went way too far with it, and I can’t help but think it might be because of some self-image issues or body dysmorphia or some kind of disorder.”
“You have such a lovely face! Tattoos are OK, but there is such a thing as too much of a good thing! You shouldn’t be concerned about your children being bullied since you already have enough! Someone else made a comment.
“You were quite attractive. Why did you act in such a manner? You are unable to provide for your family at this time. “Poor decisions lead to miserable outcomes,” someone once stated.
A fourth person said, “wow, you look amazing, and I’m so sorry that people couldn’t understand the reasons why you were covered in ink because it’s a damn shame to be put in a certain kind of group to me that’s the true color of prejudices.”
