Stacy was overjoyed to finally be going through with the planned cesarean section when she finally arrived at the hospital. Both the mother and the father were taken aback when they first laid eyes on their sons’ features, despite the fact that the mother had prior knowledge that her sons Daniel and David Omirin were developing normally.
The extraordinary identical twins entered the world on February 26, 2019, and their births were just a few minutes apart from one another. However, the one thing that Daniel and David had in common was the size and color of their brown eyes. Other than that, there were no similarities between the two.
Daniel inherited his elder sister Demilade’s dark skin tone and wavy black hair at birth, making him look nearly identical to his sibling. David, on the other hand, was conceived with golden locks and fair skin.
Given that both Stacy and her husband are black, the fact that their sons appear so differently came as quite a shock.
“The scan did not show such, so it was a huge surprise and the most amazing moment when the first twin (Daniel) came out with black hair and the second twin (David) came out with gold hair,” Stacy told Bored Panda and added: “We did not know about their differences while I was pregnant, so it was a huge surprise and the most amazing moment when the first twin (Daniel) came out with black hair.”
“I had them via CS, so the doctors were like, ‘It looks you are having entirely unidentical twins.’ “I had them through CS because they were totally unidentical twins.” Before I could even realize what was happening, nurses began coming out to check on them.
The arrival of the twins left onlookers bewildered and perplexed – Stacy claims that many people find it difficult to believe that she is the mother of both children and that Babajide is the father of both of them. She also claims that many people find it difficult to accept that Babajide is the father of both children.
When the infants were delivered, the mother was so thrilled that she was completely oblivious to their appearance. She is able to recall the nurse’s comments even now from when Daniel was first brought out.
“Daniel was the first to arrive, and after that the nurse remarked that the second child had blonde hair. My first thinking was, How is that even possible? Stacy shared her story with The Daily Mail, “I looked down and saw David, and he was completely white.”
Having said that, she wasn’t really certain how her spouse would respond to the news. Fortunately, he reacted as a typical father would have.
“Their father was really shocked, and he immediately began to refer to My Twin 2 (David) as ‘Golden,’ and now he affectionately refers to him as Mr. Golden. The sight of his sons brought him unending delight. “He stood there for over ten minutes just staring at them and then he told me that he was just looking at the wonderful work that God had done and that they are his best gift ever,” Stacy added.
It should come as no surprise that the twins have the same mother and father. But David has a disease called oculocutaneous albinism, which was present from birth. Albinism is a rare genetic condition that results in a lack of pigmentation in the skin, eyes, and/or hair of the affected individual, giving them a distinctive appearance.
At first, the mother of three was worried about David’s well-being as well as how other people would respond to him. She was also concerned about how others would react to him. This disorder is linked to a variety of other health issues, including sensitivity to sunlight and issues affecting the eyes. To our great good fortune, David has not had to deal with any significant health problems.
There are reportedly over two million persons in Nigeria who are affected by the genetic condition known as albinism. Albinism is estimated to affect between one in every 5,000 and one in every 15,000 persons born in sub-Saharan Africa, according to the World Health Organization.
One person in every 20,000 persons in Europe and North America is affected with albinism in some way. In Nigeria, living with albinism may be a challenging experience. They are often subjected to discrimination and interrogation, but, happily, Stacy has not yet encountered one of these things in her life.
She adds, “Whenever we go out, there are always side talks, people often want to know how and what’s happening, and maybe due to their cute and adorable nature, you just want to come close to say hello.” “There’s always a side talk going on whenever we go out.”
Modeling companies have been in touch with the family because they are interested in having David and Daniel be a part of their advertisements due to their exceptional beauty.
Stacy, who also happens to be a fashion designer, is secretly hoping that both of her sons would follow careers in modeling. However, she is now concentrating on raising awareness and enlightening others about the ailment that David is suffering with.
As of this day, the mother has established an Instagram account through which people may learn more about the boys and see them develop as they become older.
Even though the boys are identical twins and have the closest of friendships, they each have their own distinct personality and set of hobbies. Daniel is more extroverted and has a passion for good cuisine. David enjoys taking a step back every once in a while to survey his environment. However, both of the lads are wonderful and generous young men.
People sometimes ask, “Excuse me, madam, which one of the kids is yours?” when they see you with many children. When I tell people that the two of them belong to me, they look at me as if I’m making a joke. But even as their mother, I was taken aback as I saw them come into the world. I had no idea what to anticipate when the doctor informed me that my children are not genetically similar to each other. But then I saw that they both had hair and skin of a different hue, and I couldn’t believe it; thus, it doesn’t surprise me that other people are stunned, either.
