In 2022, a woman named Brocarde made quite an internet buzz as she “married” a ghost of a Victorian soldier named Edwardo. Less than a year after they exchanged vows in a chapel, she claimed that she decided to divorce him.
According to an article published by Wales Online in July 2023, the woman met her now-ex-husband when the ghost of the soldier visited her in her bedroom one evening.
She claimed that they shared stories with one another, and she later fell in love once their conversations started becoming deep.
In an interview with This Morning in November 2022, Brocarde said the Victorian ghost communicated with her through “sensations” in her body.
In a video posted on her YouTube channel, the woman, who wore a completely black wedding outfit, shared the video of her vows for the ghost husband in the empty Asylum Chapel in London, United Kingdom, complete with a person who appeared to be a priest.
“My heart is racing, my pulse in overdrive, because you’re my creepy little lover that I can no longer hide. There’s a fire between us that can be denied, be my freaky little lover till the end of time,” Brocarade said in her vows.
The news source said that after the couple was married, they traveled on their honeymoon to Barry Island in Wales. However, rather than enjoying their new marriage, the lady claimed that this was the point when their relationship troubles began to worsen.
She said that her ghost husband got too intoxicated during their vacation at the time, and as the months passed, Edwardo grew possessive of her. She claimed that her spirit husband had been too drunk during their getaway at the time.
In addition to the problems she had during their honeymoon, she also noted that she became irritated by her ghost husband’s “unsettling fascination” with the late Hollywood actress Marilyn Monroe.

“He had an unsettling fascination with Marilyn Monroe, it started on their wedding day when he spotted her in the chapel, he’d disappear for days on end and reappear, smelling of Chanel No. 5, he’d brush past Brocarde and the smell would fill the room,” she said.
Then, at long last, she made the decision to sever ties with Edwardo because, as she put it, their relationship had always been “turbulent from the beginning.”
She said that the split was unamicable and that the two of them never discussed why they were no longer together. She just consulted with a psychic medium to help her with the separation process.
Unfortunately, her first attempt did not work as he “grew increasingly more aggressive and nasty.”
Brocarde then figured out that the only way to get rid of the Victorian soldier ghost was to “exorcise him” so she went back to the chapel where they got married and a few hours later, he was finally removed from her system.
“Since the exorcism I haven’t felt his presence or seen him, the whole energy has shifted and life feels more light and joyful,” she said.
In honor of her short-lived marriage with Edwardo, Brocarde was inspired to write a divorce song titled “Just Another Anthem,” released in May 2023, which symbolized that she already moved on from her relationship with the ghost.
The song was accompanied by a music video in which she appeared to have filmed in the same location where the two of them got married.
