Cedric ‘Beastie’ Jones, a boxer and actor best known for his role in the film Emancipation, has passed away. His age was 46.

On Sunday, the actor and athlete’s boxing gym issued a statement confirming the star’s passing.

“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Beastie Boxing Gym Founder, Cedric ‘Beastie’ Jones,” his firm stated in a statement that was released on Instagram.

“Cedric was a loving father, devoted husband, caring son, brother, community leader, and incredible friend who inspired others,” the statement said. “He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.” “His sincere desire was for everyone to develop into the finest possible version of themselves. He was like a present. Cedric has devoted his whole life to assisting others, both inside and outside of the gym.

It was said in the statement that Jones would be remembered as someone who “inspired and helped people achieve what they previously thought was impossible.”

The message, which concluded the post and included a happy picture of the business owner, thanked Cedric for his contribution to the formation of our community. We will never get over the loss of you.”

The information that was supplied by his gym indicates that Jones passed away on October 16th.

Antoine Fuqua, the director of Emancipation, shared his sorrow and condolences on various social media platforms after hearing the news of his loss.

“May he rest in peace, my dear brother and my friend. On Instagram, he opened his post by saying, “You were always the light in the room and on the set.”

The homage that Fuqua paid consisted of a screen video of Jones praying.

“You will be sorely missed, and our affection for you will last a lifetime. As you soar above the heavens, I pray that the wind will always be at your back and provide you with lift. “Dream team until the end of time,” Fuqua said further.

During the course of Jones’ prayer, it seemed as if he described how he got the moniker “Beastie.”

“The beast in me is because of the God in me,” the actor added. “The beast in me is because of the God in me.”

He was also thankful for the people in his life that he loved and for the opportunity he had to assist others.

“I thank you for my wife, I thank you for my kids, I thank you for those who are positive individuals in my life,” stated the politician. “I believe for growth, I pray for prosperity, I pray for strength, I pray that I’m able to inspire and motivate people to be better — not just in the gym, but in life.”

Jones is survived by his wife, Barbie Jones, as well as their three children, Brooklyn, Braxton, and Bryston Jones. A GoFundMe account has been set up in order to assist his family.

There has been no announcement made about the cause of death.

The week before, his wife sent out an invitation to friends and family to participate in a memorial run in his honor that would begin at Beastie Gym and end at Manhattan Beach Pier. Attendees at the event held on October 22 were strongly urged to show their support for the Jones family by dressing in all black or all white.

“I’m sorry, but I just can’t get my mind around this. It’s not going to be the same without you, pal. In the comment area of Cedric’s last Instagram post, Basketball Wives actress Jennifer Williams prayed to God to protect Cedric’s “beautiful wife and family.”

Jones has been in a number of films, including The Terminal List, The Magnificent Seven, Southpaw, Princess of the Row, and Marshall County. He will also have a role in the film Emancipation, which will be released in 2022 and feature Will Smith.
