Fans of ‘Saturday Night Live’ were both excited and perplexed by the surprise appearances that appeared in Bad Bunny’s edition of the show.
It was a night filled with a plethora of famous faces as Bad Bunny made his much anticipated hosting debut on Saturday Night Live.

After the well-known singer surprised the audience by having Pedro Pascal assist him with his very first monologue, many of the audience members’ expectations were swiftly dashed when they discovered that Pascal was not the A-list guest appearance.

Bad Bunny and cast member Marcello Hernández portrayed telenovela performers in an early skit. A stressful scenario that they were doing kept being sidetracked by an actress (Punkie Johnson) who, it turned out, did not know how to speak any Spanish.

Mick Jagger, another performer on the telenovela, has said that he is similarly perplexed as to why they chose an actress who is unable to communicate in the language of the program. This turn of events occurred completely out of left field. Nevertheless, it was Jagger’s very unexpected presence that commanded all of the attention throughout the whole scenario.

The last time Mick Jagger appeared on Saturday Night Live was 11 years ago, when he hosted the program during Season 37. Jagger’s attendance during the broadcast marks his first appearance on the show since then.

Shortly after that, as fans were still reeling from the back-to-back shocks of Pascal and Jagger, it was time for Bad Bunny to take the stage for his debut performance as the night’s musical guest, and he was introduced by none other than Lady Gaga! Bad Bunny’s performance was a huge success, and he was invited back again the following year.

Although that was the end of Gaga’s participation in the show, Jagger and Pascal both made appearances in further skits during the course of the night.

First, Pascal actually played a part that he had previously portrayed when he hosted the show the previous season; this time around, he was a possessive Latina mom, and Bad Bunny was an overprotective aunt. It was the drawing that nobody was expecting but that everyone suddenly realized they’d been wanting.

Mick Jagger made his comeback to Saturday Night Live in one of the most raunchy jokes in recent memory during one of the final handful of segments. The skit centered on a number of nuns who were living in a convent and having sexual encounters with a guy who was disguising himself as a nun. Despite this, none of the sisters seemed to be bothered by the situation in any way. It turns out that Jagger is the one who posed as a nun all along, even if Bad Bunny plays one of the other nuns.

To be honest, both Jagger and Gaga had already arrived in Los Angeles when the “Born This Way” singer made her own surprise appearance at a secret Rolling Stones performance hosted at Racket, a club located in Chelsea, on Thursday night.

NBC broadcasts Saturday Night Live live from coast to coast every weeknight at 11:30 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) and 8:30 p.m. Pacific Time (PT).
