The wax statue of The Rock was unveiled for the first time this week at Musée Grévin in Paris, and the reception was mixed at best.

This week, Dwayne Johnson’s wax figure made its premiere in Paris, and the reviews are in: supporters want it torched as soon as possible.

Fans were quick to remark that the wax model of The Rock does not have the same darker skin tone as the actor, which was revealed when the figure was exhibited at the Musée Grévin in France. In addition to this, a large number of The Rock’s followers believe that the wax figure is a likeness of his Fast co-star Vin Diesel, with whom The Rock was involved in a very public fight not too long ago.

Due to this connection, one individual decided to tweet the following question: “Are they trying to heal the spat between The Rock and Vin Diesel by doing a two for one wax figure?”

Fans are outraged that the museum had the audacity to assume the life-size wax figure is a presentable product, despite the fact that many people have said that this rendition is not even close to being as terrible as the notorious bust of Cristiano Ronaldo that was created in 2017 (which has since been corrected!). And the response came quickly, as shown by the fact that the Instagram account of Musée Grévin was inundated with comments from supporters criticizing the wax figure.

“He doesn’t have enough melanin. “FIX IT!” a fan yelled in response. Someone another questioned, “Why is he white? When do you plan to make the necessary adjustments?”

A fast trip through the comments section finds a number of GIFs depicting Mr. Clean, along with one user’s remark that reads, “Dwayne THE EXTRA INSTA SMOOTH FILTER Johnson.”

The Rock has not yet commented on the wax figure, but it is conceivable that he may shrug off the attention and perhaps share a few of laughs with his fans. It’s sort of his thing to do that.

A good example of this is when a fan posted a video on Twitter in 2014 comparing The Rock’s signature eyebrow raise (which he earned the moniker “The People’s Eyebrow” during his time as a WWE star) to a cow doing the exact same action. After that, the individual who tweeted the video inquired, “Who did it better?”

The 10-second video was soon shared online by many people, which is how it caught Johnson’s notice. He answered by saying, “Ok, I was not expecting that from my moooo cow friend.”
