Between the years of the mid-1990s and the early 2000s, the famous twin brothers Dylan and Cole Sprouse were an integral part of the formative years of many television viewers. This is as a result of their evident skill and the resonance it has had in many films and television programs, such as “Friends,” “Big Daddy,” and “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.”
More of their noteworthy performances can be found in ventures such as “Grace Under Fire,” which was the band’s very first concert. Between the years 1993 and 1998, the cute couple took turns playing the role of Patrick Kelly. As time progressed, the twins’ reputations grew as a result of the more spectacular roles that they played.
The Hollywood twins who first came to public attention as child actors in the film “Big Daddy” are now well into their adult years and thriving in successful careers in the entertainment industry. The following is a glimpse inside the life of one of the most popular sets of Hollywood twins in the United States.
After performing several shows together while they were younger, Dylan and Cole eventually went on to secure employment of their own. Cole was cast as Ross Geller’s kid in the 2001 season of “Friends.” They became famous all over the globe for their roles as identical twins Cody and Zack in the television show “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.” The idea of the sitcom centered on a set of identical twins who called the Tipton hotel home along with their famous singer mother, Carey. They had a reputation for getting into all sorts of mischief in their hotel room.
The popularity of the series resulted in the creation of a sequel, and Dylan and Cole reprised their roles in the adolescent comedy “The Suite Life on Deck,” which aired for a total of three seasons. They also portrayed the same characters in “The Suite Life Movie.” The Sprouse twins made guest appearances in three episodes of “That’s So Suite Life of Hannah Montana,” which aired in 2006 and was a TV mix of three different Disney Channel sitcoms: “That’s so Raven,” “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody,” and “Hannah Montana.” This was done in between the airings of the spin-offs.

The twins are well aware of the significance that the performance had in their career as a whole. In the year 2020, fifteen years after “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” had originally made its debut on television, Dylan discussed his feelings on the series.
He stated that the program freed him and his twin brother from the horrible scenario they were dealt with in their life at the time and that he was glad for the nice memories it would remind their viewers of as they watched it. He also thanked the show for the happy memories it would remind their viewers of as they watched it.
In addition, Cole said that the Suite series was one of his favorite book series. The actor pondered on his former time in an interview with Vogue titled “73 Questions With Cole Sprouse” and said that he still allows himself to indulge by revisiting select sections of his old work.
“When I’m drunk or feeling really narcissistic, yeah,” he remarked, adding, “I don’t really like to watch anything I do. Yeah, (I put it on),” As a result, I avoid it as much as possible. Even though it’s corny, I will always have a soft spot in my heart for ‘The Suite Life.'”
In addition, he mentioned the fact that Disney Channel opened doors for them during an interview that took place in March 2023 on the podcast “Call Her Daddy” with Alex Cooper. This allowed them to gain the much-needed stability they need at the moment.
“By the time my brother and I turned on the Disney Channel, we were feeling pretty good about ourselves. It was a tremendous help to us,” he said. “In many different ways, it was a program that saved people’s lives. My brother and I really needed some stability, regularity, and routine during that time period, and it gave us with all of those things,” he went on to say of the situation.

The brothers’ employment at Disney Channel not only helped them achieve financial security but also provided them with the chance to form friendships with other people. Cole said that the team surprised him with a celebration when he graduated from middle school, which brought tears to his eyes and made him feel very emotional.
Although Dylan and Cole now enjoy performing to some degree, pursuing a career in the entertainment industry was not something that came easily to either of them. Cole said in an episode of the podcast titled “Call Her Daddy” that he and his brother Dylan got into acting as a result of their mother, who, according to Cole, had him and his brother work when they were very young.
“Because our family was struggling financially, our mother signed my brother and I up for acting jobs when we were only eight months old,” he stated. “I never really considered pursuing a career in the arts, and acting in particular. Because of this, it was never truly something I was passionate about.
The actor’s impression of their mother was that she was “wonderful” and “artistic,” but that she was “financially irresponsible.” He went on to explain that the issues she was having with her mental health and addiction were factors that led to the family’s financial difficulties. When the children reached the age of 10, their father was awarded exclusive custody of them.
“When my father was given forced custody, we had pretty much lost everything from the (earliest) parts of our career,” he recounted in his reflections on the matter.
However, working as actors for Disney assisted them in establishing themselves more rapidly. According to Cole, the entertainment industry attracts two distinct sorts of young people: those who want to be a part of it and those who feel they have no choice but to do so. He indicated that they were part of the second category.
I believe there are two distinct kinds of children working in the field of child acting. “There are the ‘thespian children,’ who choose to do it, and then there are the working-class kids that,” he speculated, “at least in our case.” “I mean, really, it started out as a way to put bread on the table,” the speaker says.
Nevertheless, he made it clear that he would choose for the same course of action again and that he did not have any regrets about walking that line.
Cole has also been quite public about his experiences while working in the entertainment industry. In an interview with Variety in 2019, he said that since he was a kid working in the entertainment business, he did not have any say in any of the choices that were made.
In addition, he emphasized a significant drawback, which was that during the nine years he worked for Disney Channel, he lacked “real human experience.” He said this was a tremendous disadvantage. Having his identical twin brother there, however, helped to cushion the blow for him.
“Having an identical twin next to me going through the same exact experiences in a very similar way with a very similar point of view is therapeutic,” the photographer said. “Having an identical twin next to me going through the same exact experiences in a very similar way.”
In light of this, when they were at the pinnacle of their fame, the two of them came to the conclusion that it would be best for them to step away from the acting world and spend some time away from Hollywood. Cole said that once “The Suite Life” finished, they had several offers, but they turned them all down since they wanted the opposite for themselves and hoped that people would forget about them after some time.

In 2010, both Dylan and Cole attended New York University, where Dylan pursued a degree in Video Game Design while Cole pursued a degree in Archeology and Humanities. On the other hand, they were taken aback to see that there were individuals following up with them on a regular basis. After graduating from high school in 2015, Dylan and Cole soon recognized that they were unable to retire from the performing industry.
In 2015, Dylan told Teen Vogue, “By not doing anything, we were doing something,” and he was referring to their actions. You should know that it was something intriguing to at least some of the folks. So, I had this epiphany not too long ago that was like, “You know what? I believe that it is time for you to accept the reality of the situation and get back into action.'”
Following their graduation from college, the twins got back into acting, with one of the twins, Cole, landing roles on the shows “Riverdale” and “Five Feet Apart.” In addition, Dylan was cast in films such as “Banana Split,” “Dismissed,” and “After We Collided.”
The brothers are involved in various endeavors in addition to their performing careers. Dylan is a co-owner of All-Wise Meadery, which is located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. He also works there as a brewmaster. In the meanwhile, Cole developed an interest in photography and has since worked for prestigious publications such as Teen Vogue and a great many others.
He has taken photographs for W Magazine featuring Sophie Turner, The Sunday Times featuring Kendall Jenner, and L’Uomo Vogue featuring Sam Smith. In the meanwhile, he disclosed that landscapes are his primary source of inspiration.
In terms of the two men’s private lives, Dylan tied the knot with model Barbara Palvin in 2023, while Cole dated actress Lili Reinhart for a number of years prior to the two of them breaking up in 2020. During an episode of the podcast titled “Call Her Daddy,” in which he discussed his past relationship with the actress, he said that the two of them “did a lot of damage to each other.”

He added that balancing their personal lives with their professional lives was not an easy task for them to do. Cole said that despite their geographical distance, they continued to be excellent friends. In March of 2021, he had a love connection with the model Ari Fournier.
Cole and Dylan have not forgotten their sweet beginnings despite having pursued careers in Hollywood for a number of years after they were children. In 2019, Cole made headlines when he commemorated the 25th anniversary of the television show “Friends” and recognized his involvement on the show by uploading stills from some of his appearances on Instagram. These posts brought attention to Cole.
When Cole, who played the part of Ben Geller in the famous series, took a seat on the iconic couch that the actors often sat on whenever they drank coffee at Central Perk, he brought some memories to fans of the show. The official Instagram account for “Friends” shared a photo of the momentous day with the comment, “The One Where Ben Grew Up @colesprouse #FRIENDS25.”
The photo also included Huggsy, the teddy penguin that Joey, who was portrayed by Matt LeBlanc, shared his nightly routines with. The slides also included several more photographs of Ben in various poses.
Cole reflected on his time spent on the set of “Friends” during an interview he gave earlier that year with Today. It was especially enjoyable for him to reflect on “The One With the Holiday Armadillo.” In his words:

“I was infatuated with the costumes, and the practical effects that they had.”
Cole’s preoccupations at the time did not center only on the dresses and accessories, however. Co-star Jennifer Aniston, who portrayed Rachel Green and was the love interest and wife of Ross Geller (played by David Schwimmer) on the sitcom, was the object of his affections. He had a crush on her.
“I’m pretty sure I fell in love with Jennifer Aniston, which the whole world had at that point,” he said in an interview with Today. “I’m pretty sure I fell in love with Jennifer Aniston.” However, because of it, I do recall feeling rather intimidated whenever I was near her. When she sat next to me on the sofa in one of the episodes, I don’t think I was paying attention to my lines and I definitely had a case of stage fright.
Cole does not only have warm recollections of Jennifer Aniston but also of other celebrities. While working on “Big Daddy” with Adam Sandler, he and his twin brother Dylan took turns playing the character of Julian.
The plot of the film, which was released in 1999, centered on the connection between Sonny (Adam Sandler) and Julian, a little child of five years old who was left on Sonny’s doorstep. The players got into some major shenanigans, but Sonny’s life took a dramatic and positive turn once he made the decision to grow up and take responsibility for his actions.

Both Cole and Dylan have nothing but respect and adoration for Sandler, who is also one of their co-stars. In the interview 73 Questions With Cole Sprouse, Cole revealed that he looked up to the famous actor when he was younger and considered him to be one of his teachers. He went on to say that he respected the actor from “Uncut Gems” because of how much of himself he put into the production and how in touch he was with the many facets of his life.
Dylan also discussed some of his past recollections of Sandler. Dylan made light of his encounter with Sandler as he was promoting his film “Beautiful Disaster” in April 2023, when he was being interviewed on Access Hollywood. A brief film was shown for Dylan in which Sandler said that he had seen his “Big Daddy” co-star. Sandler has revealed that he spotted Dylan “like two in the morning” when he was staying at a hotel in Paris to shoot “Murder Mystery 2.” Sandler was in Paris to film the movie.
Dylan then made a joke about Sandler being “just old” since they bumped into one other at 8 p.m. and not 2 a.m. He said this in reference to the time difference. He instructed the individual to “Like, dude, go to sleep.” During the course of the conversation, the actor said that the production of “Big Daddy” took a total of four months since Adam Sandler watched basketball while working.
He reflected on the experience, saying, “We shot that movie for four months, Big Daddy, for four months.”

According to what he said, “Half of it was because between every take Adam had a cooler full of beer and a basketball setup that he would watch in between takes, and so it just dragged on,” which was the main reason why the shoot took so long.
Dylan, on the other hand, elaborated by saying that “it was amazing.”
In the past, Cole has shown his respect for Sandler, most notably at the premiere of Sandler’s 2019 film “Uncut Gems.” In an interview with People published in March 2022, Cole disclosed the following:
“I may be a little bit prejudiced since I’ve known him for such a long time, but I really like his work. “He’s got that really, really wonderful balance between art and commerce that I think is the currency of a real working actor,” said a casting director about the actor.
Furthermore, Cole said, “He’s walking that line beautifully and he’s raising up all of his friends at the same time, which I think is incredible.”
The identical twins who were born in Italy seem to be doing well for themselves in the numerous undertakings that they are pursuing. The All-Wise Meadery, which Dylan owns and operates, has generated a significant amount of revenue over the years, and he has racked up a number of noteworthy acting credits. In the meanwhile, Cole, who is also an archeologist, has found some incredible discoveries as well. One of them is an ancient ceramic theatrical mask of Dionysus in Bulgaria, which the actor described as having “spooked” him for a considerable amount of time.

However, he said that he loved digging up stuff more than being on set, and he disclosed that he would return someday if he checked off his list of things to do before he came back to the set. In addition to this, he said that he had an interest in playing the role of “Indiana Jones” and that he would “put on some muscle” if he were given the part.
Meanwhile, the celebrity is quite concerned about his mental health and has said that he finds it beneficial to refrain from using social media. While he was taking a break from social media, he decided to start a podcast, which he said was essential in assisting him in gaining some experience as a producer.
Additionally, the Sprouse twins have not ruled out the possibility of collaborating with one another in the future. Since they graduated from their respective colleges, the actors have not collaborated on a film together.
Dylan informed HollywoodLife in 2020 the following reason why the two of them had not shown together in public for quite some time:
“It would need to go according to plan. When they want to put my brother and I in a role, the majority of the time, they have some very foolish sh*t in mind. Therefore, it would need to be something enjoyable and appetizing.
He divulged in the same year that if he and his brother wanted anything nice, he would probably have to build a project for themselves, and he said that they would make a twin return if they had fantastic content. He said that he would probably have to construct a project for himself and his brother.
