The former hosts of ‘Good Morning America 3’ are now in the midst of their preparations for the forthcoming New York City Marathon.
Amy Robach is working hard to prepare for the upcoming New York City Marathon, yet she still manages to crack a wide grin. Absolutely, it’s due to the fact that T.J. Holmes is her personal chef.
The former co-anchor of Good Morning America went to Instagram on Wednesday to post a picture of the scenery from her running workout in preparation for the upcoming marathon. The photo that Robach shared on her Instagram shows her taking in the breathtaking panorama of the New York City skyline as she jogs along the Hudson River. The 50-year-old athlete said in the photo’s caption, “Let the tapering begin… and a big thank you for the post run eggs and chorizo @officialtjholmes.”
The second picture in her message is a picture of the breakfast that Holmes prepared for her. Robach, who disabled the comment section of the article, is not the only one getting ready for the important event that will take place on November 5. Additionally, Holmes is in the process of training.
The woman, who is 46 years old, published a slideshow of images, one of which depicts a shadow of the pair as they are out on a run. In addition to that, he published screen captures of their accomplishments up to that point. One of the photos depicts a runner completing a 20-mile race with an average pace of 8 minutes and 58 seconds per mile and a total time of 2 hours and 59 minutes, coming just shy of the three-hour mark.
In case anybody was interested, Holmes also sent a snapshot of his playlist, which has songs by artists such as Prince, John Legend, and Jamie Callum, amongst others.
The pair has made a habit out of working out together in the past. Robach and Holmes were both participants in the Brooklyn Half Marathon in the month of May. When they crossed the finish line, they were beaming with happiness and flashing the peace sign for the camera. It would seem that they also coordinated their outfits on the day of the race, with Robach sporting a peach-colored tank top and black camo leggings while Holmes wore black camo leggings of his own to match hers. Both he and Robach were wearing shoes from Nike, although he wore pink ones and she wore black ones with hot pink trim.
A source previously told ET that Robach and Holmes’ relationship began over the summer, around the same time that they separated from their respective spouses; Robach from actor Andrew Shue and Holmes from attorney Marilee Fibeig. Robach and Holmes first made headlines in November of last year after it was discovered that they were romantically involved with one another.
During the month of January, both Holmes and Robach resigned from their positions at GMA3 and were given severance benefits. Since that time, they have carried on with both their romantic relationship and their shared passion for running. In March, a source spoke with ET how Robach was the motivation for Holmes’ path to a healthier lifestyle.
“Amy has been an avid long-distance runner the majority of her life, she’s on KETO, and has always used the open road to clear her mind, focus her energy, and channel it into bettering herself,” according to the informant at the time.
In addition, the source said that “while T.J. has always been very active and into sports, Amy inspired his newfound love of long-distance running, and ever since then, it has become a shared passion.” You can anticipate seeing the two of them out on the open road, competing together in upcoming events.
