The legacy of Drake is being carried on by Drake’s son.

This past Sunday, the “8am in Charlotte” rapper, who is 36 years old, marked the sixth birthday of his son Adonis by publishing both a song and a video for the little boy’s first rap performance on his Instagram account. Adonis can be seen in the video writing on a whiteboard and rapping while wearing a basketball jersey. He also raps while playing basketball with his teammates. Even Drake makes a guest appearance in the music video.

Drake stated in the caption of his Instagram photo, “Happy birthday my son…MY MAN FREESTYLE OUT NOW,”

The ecstatic parent also uploaded a video to his Instagram Story documenting his son’s first appearance in front of an audience. Adonis may be seen rapping his track as his father, Drake, can be heard yelling and clapping for him. The phrase “Dialed in” is written over the shot.

Drake and the French artist Sophie Brussaux are the parents of their kid together.

Adonis has worked together with his dad in the past, so this isn’t the first time they’ve done it. In the beginning of this month, Adonis was featured prominently in the music video that his father created for his latest single “8am in Charlotte.” An off-screen Drake started the video by questioning his son Adonis about his artwork. This exchange took place at the beginning of the film.

Adonis took his father through his artwork, emphasizing the significance of each little object that he had drawn. At the very conclusion of the account, Drake turned to his son and inquired about the amount of money the latter received for the artwork.

Adonis sneered when the video transitioned into the track that was released by his father. “Oh, please,” he said.

Not only did Adonis contribute the song to his dad’s new CD FOR ALL THE DOGS, but he also contributed other songs. Additionally, he designed the artwork that appears on the record’s cover, a fact that his ecstatic father shared on Instagram. “FOR ALL THE DOGS,” Drake captioned his image. “Cover by Adonis,” the Canadian musician who was born in Toronto said.

In honor of her son’s birthday the week before last, Adonis’ mother, Brussaux, posted a touching flashback photo of her son on social media. The first picture shows a young Adonis sitting amid a stack of paper plates that have green paint splattered over them. The little Adonis is also coated in the paint himself.

Another photograph showed Brussaux snuggling up with Adonis, while a third shot showed the mother and son combination laughing as they took a selfie together as Adonis held up a melting ice cream cone. Brussaux and Adonis both seemed to be enjoying themselves in the photos.

“Happy birthday to my favorite human, whom I helped create even though it’s been six years already…”Happy birthday to my favorite human, who I co-created 6 years ago already… que Dieu te bénisse mon fils,” the ecstatic mother wrote in her native French language, which translates to “may God bless you, my son.”I pray that God will bless you, my son.”
