After celebrating yet another landmark anniversary of their wedding, Jessie James Decker is in the mood to reminisce about the good old days.
The country singer, who is 35 years old, recently disclosed to PEOPLE that one of her greatest memories from the wedding she had in 2013 with her husband Eric Decker involves her passion for music.
“My band was there and I had hired a [different] band for the wedding,” she recounted to PEOPLE. “My band was at the wedding.” “However, the musicians who play in my band approached the musicians in the wedding band and asked if they could borrow their instruments and play.”
She said that the wedding band she hired was more than delighted to accommodate her request, and the musicians came together to create a single super band that sang one of her favorite songs by Oasis.
She claimed that at that point “Wonderwall” was being played, and everyone got up to dance and sing along at the top of their voices. “So they all got up and they played it.” “Because ‘Wonderwall’ is one of our songs, and it was just so unique and so amazing when it came out,” And just a fleeting second that I’ll never forget.”
The happy couple marked the occasion of their tenth wedding anniversary in June by taking their children on a vacation to Mexico. Jessie James published a collection of photographs taken by her family on their trip, beginning with a picture of her and her husband gazing adoringly into each other’s eyes as they posed for a picture together on the beach.
They also posted a picture of themselves in bed with their three children, Vivianne, 9, Eric “Bubby” Jr., 8, and Forest, 5, holding up a banner that said “anniversary” and had other images strewn around it. She added the captions “Until next time ” to the photographs.
She also uploaded a different black-and-white flashback picture from the wedding she had with the former NFL star who is now 36 years old. In the photographs, the couple could be seen walking through a gathering of their loved ones and friends while holding hands and dressed in their wedding gown. She said, “10 years today, my love 6/22/13” in the text she sent.
next their introduction by mutual acquaintances in 2011, the pair did not start dating until the next year, and they did not become engaged until the following year. They tied the knot in June of 2013, and their three children arrived in 2014, 2015, and 2018 respectively.
In 2017, Jessie James provided some insight into the chemistry of their relationship by telling PEOPLE the following: “We just like each other and we always have, and it continues to strengthen.”
“I believe that together, we are such wonderful parents; I could not have chosen a better partner to have children with,” she said. She went on to clarify that “we both are still madly in love with each other and we genuinely enjoy each other’s company.” This is in addition to the fact that “we parent so well together,” which is another reason why “we parent so well together.”
She also said that even after ten years of marriage, they still manage to keep the romance alive by saying things like, “Besides being super attracted to each other, I think there’s a sense of flirting with each other and still keeping that spice alive.”
“Little things like that go such a long way, and I think sometimes women forget that,” she continued. “It’s the little things.” “But in addition to that, I am aware that he places a high value on having a good physique. As a result, I strive to stay in shape for him since I am aware that he places a high value on fitness due to the nature of the job that he does. Additionally, he will sometimes shave his beard for me, so we are making an effort to improve that.
