If you were to make a movie that the vast majority of people in the United States would find to be absolutely unpleasant, you’d probably end up with something like “Bros.”

You don’t believe me, do you? You’ll find the answer on the “about” page of the movie’s website. How to do it:

Bobby is a podcast presenter that suffers from a significant amount of anxiety. He is content to meet people via Tinder dates, but he is not looking for a long-term partner. When he meets Aaron, a lawyer who is just as aloof as he is and enjoys playing the field, all of this changes. Aaron is a perfect match for him. Both of these guys can’t seem to shake the feeling that they want to be with the other. Both of the guys start to display their more vulnerable sides as their unmistakable desire develops into something that has the appearance of being a commitment.

It’s very safe to assume that any rational person who reads that will respond with “Nope, not going to see that,” regardless of whether they identify as homosexual, heterosexual, or any of the other orientations that are now options.

They didn’t even realize that anything happened. The dismal amount of $4.8 million that “Bros” earned at the box office comes from the 3,350 locations where movie was presented. This amounts to little more than $1,432 for each site, which is equivalent to around 70 tickets assuming that each ticket costs $20. LOL.

Therefore, the director of the film, who is openly homosexual and goes by the name Billy Eichner, went on a ranting spree on Twitter about the film and how no one was viewing it. In particular, he went on a rampage and recommended that the movie be seen by anybody who did not have a “homophobic” attitude. After that, he continued by stating that “straight people” were to responsible for how poorly it fared. What he had to say was:

The night before, I made my way to the rear of a cinema in Los Angeles that was screening BROS despite the fact that it was completely sold out. The whole time, the crowd could be heard laughing out loud. When it was ended, everyone cheered, and as they were leaving, several of them could be seen wiping away tears. It really was a magical experience. In reality. This movie has left me feeling EXTREMELY satisfied and pleased.

Rolling Stone magazine has already included BROS on its list of comedies that are considered to be among the greatest of the 21st century. It is also true that a cinema chain contacted Universal and informed them that they would be removing the trailer because it included LGBT material. (Uni was able to dissuade them against doing it.) The United States of America, sure, anything, etc.

Unfortunately, this is the reality of the world in which we live. In spite of positive reviews, high ratings on Rotten Tomatoes and CinemaScores, as well as other accolades, many straight individuals in the United States, particularly in certain regions, did not go watch Bros. And although it is disheartening, the situation is what it is.

Tonight is the night to watch BROS, and everyone who isn’t a homophobic freak should go! You’re going to have a wonderful time! And the experience of seeing this narrative unfold on a cinematic scale is one that is unique and profound, particularly for LGBT people who do not very often have the opportunity to do so. This is a movie that I truly like a lot.

After some time had passed, when he was having a difficult time, he said that the amount of tickets sold is not what is important. What he had to say was:

Everyone is aware that the amount of money a movie makes at the box office has absolutely nothing to do with how wonderful the movie is. In addition, there is no purpose in tweeting about a movie if you haven’t really seen it. On Twitter, you will only find rubbish like that. The vast majority of audience members have positive sentiments towards Bros. Try it out for yourself and see what you think!

And you can be sure that I will be tweeting about Bros each and every day for the next twelve months simply to spite you!

Despite Eichner’s assertion that the film received positive feedback from critics, the average rating for it on IMDB is just 5.4 out of 10. It’s almost as though people would rather see authentic humor than awakened virtue signaling that attempts to be amusing but ultimately fails. We will have to hold our breath and watch whether Hollywood and its supposedly “woke” stars ever manage to grasp that particular concept.
