After their mother was unexpectedly taken from them in January, Tristan and his brother made the decision to move home with Khloé.
In case you somehow missed the message, Khloé Kardashian and her former boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, are NOT back together. And KoKo wants to make sure that point is well understood.
After the passing of his mother, Andrea Thompson, in January, the mother of two is still forced to live in an unusual living scenario with the father of her two children, as shown in the episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians that aired this week.
Because of the damage that was done to Tristan’s home by water, he and his younger brother, Amari Thompson, for whom he now provides the only care, were forced to relocate into Khloé’s residence.
But despite the fact that they live in a unique position and Tristan is going through a difficult time period while mourning the loss of his mother, Khloé is eager to establish clear limits with regard to the NBA star.
“I’m not going to pretend that I’m oblivious to the fact that my ex-boyfriend is now residing in my home. “We’re in really sensitive times,” Khloé admits in her candid interview. “We’re in really sensitive times.” “Tristan is still in the early phases of the mourning process. Even if I’m not being a complete jerk all the time, I still want to make sure that clear boundaries are established, that they remain in place, and that there is complete openness and honesty.
The creator of Good American also does not want to keep Tristan waiting, stating that she has been in Tristan’s situation previously and knows how frustrating it can be. The two of them make a few uncomfortable jokes about Tristan digging holes in his ceiling so that he can remain at Khloé’s home, but it’s obvious that Khloé is anxious that he won’t leave at any point in the conversation.
“I still need my own personal space. She tells him, “I still adore spending time by myself.”
Tristan grudgingly recognizes this fact and expresses gratitude to Khloé for providing him with shelter. He then continues on to discuss the work that he has done on himself, noting that he examines and critiques his own conduct.
“How is it that I’ve met the person I was meant to be with, and yet I’ve treated them so poorly? Why should I subject you to that? Asked Tristan.
When a producer asks Khloé how she feels after hearing that she is Tristan’s “person,” the reality star responds by saying, “Tristan has said before, I’m his person.” I’m not going to say that I don’t believe this, but it’s something I’ve heard before. Of course, it has infuriated me in the past because I find myself thinking things like, “Well, if I f**king am, then why would you have treated me this way and how many times?” This is not something that will happen just once, yet here we are. I am a hopeless romantic and I have a passion for love. However, it will not alter the way that I feel or the events that took place.
Khloé explains to her former boyfriend that despite the fact that everything he did was “f**ked up,” she and her family would always come together in times of need.
“I’m tough enough that you won’t be able to break me,” she said. She tells him, “But also if what you say is true, if you thought I was your person, or whatever else you just said, then that means you feel this much more affected by losing me, and you want to change for yourself.” If what he says is true, he thought she was his person. “No, it’s not because there’s a reward at the finish line. I’m not going to try to change the fact that our children will keep us involved in each other’s life for the rest of our lives; thus, I won’t fight that. And I’m going to do all in my power to make it as pleasant as possible for me.”
Khloé continues by claiming that the drama that she and Tristan were involved in was a “massive situation” that was “a traumatic experience for me and my life.”
In spite of the fact that she has no plans to forget about it, she says that she is “proud” of herself for being able to handle the situation with maturity and for the way that she is treating Tristan for the benefit of their children.
“Someone that I did not even want to look at just a couple months ago, I have living under my roof,” she adds. “I have someone that I did not even want to look at just a couple months ago.”
Tristan chimes in and says, “You’ve done more than most humans would ever do in their entire lives, but it demonstrates how pure and great your soul is and how much you don’t want any bad energy.”
Kim Kardashian, Khloé’s elder sister, reveals that despite Tristan’s imperfections, she still loves him earlier in the episode. Khloé is Kim’s younger sister.
“It’s so crazy because he’s such a good friend, and he’s such a good dad, but he just couldn’t get it together in that area of being a faithful boyfriend,” says Kim. “It’s so crazy because he’s such a good friend and because he’s such a good dad.” “So it’s clear that you despise him because of what he did. The things he did and the person he was were both incredibly messed up, that’s for sure. That is something that I just can’t refute. We have had our discussions about it, and we have had our arguments over it as well.
Despite this, Kim is grateful to Tristan for the support he provided for her and her children through the difficult time of her divorce from Kanye West.
“When he saw me struggling with my kids, he stepped up,” she tells of how he responded. “He began to make an appearance at the games. He drove Saint home, he takes him out to dinner, and he will always come to my defense, particularly if it is anything involving me and my ex-boyfriend. I just could not forget about it. I will never really give up on someone or behave as if I don’t believe they are capable of developing and changing.
Corey Gamble, Kris Jenner’s boyfriend, encourages her to speak to Khloé in an effort to make things work out. It seems that Kris Jenner, Tristan’s mother, also believes that there is hope for Tristan.
In 2016, Tristan and Khloé had their first encounter and began seeing one other. In 2018, just a few short days before the birth of their daughter, True Thompson, Tristan was embroiled in a highly publicized infidelity scandal. Despite the fact that Tristan and his partner have mended their relationship, in 2019 he was discovered cheating on her again. Because he was seen on camera kissing Kylie Jenner’s friend Jordyn Woods at a party, Tristan and Khloé were forced to end their relationship once again.
When Tristan admitted in a paternity case that he had fathered a kid with Maralee Nichols while he was engaged to Khloé, Khloé decided to end their relationship for real in December of 2021. Despite the fact that they had renewed their romance and even been engaged in secret, Khloé made the decision to end things. Khloé subsequently claimed that the news emerged days after Tristan “encouraged” her to conduct an embryo transfer in the hopes that they may have a second kid through surrogate. Khloé was referring to the possibility that the couple could have a second child via surrogate.
