You are never too old for a vacation to Disneyland, no matter how old you are.

On October 2, 2018, the 97-year-old actor Dick Van Dyke and his 51-year-old wife Arlene Silver were seen at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, touring the park together. The pair could be seen enjoying a performance by the Dapper Dans, who are a barbershop quartet that often gives shows on Main Street, United States of America, in photographs and videos taken by other guests at the park.

Phili Chavez, a Disney travel planner, also captured a video of the legendary actor smiling and waving to fans from a balcony, which appeared to be on the Disneyland Railroad.

Van Dyke, who played the cheerful chimney sweep Bert in Disney’s Mary Poppins in 1964, was seen wearing a blue sweater and a white beard, whilst Silver went for an all-black suit. Both actors were shown in the same scene.

At over 100 years old, the former star of “The Dick Van Dyke Show” is always open to trying new things. Van Dyke shared a video of himself on Instagram in August, in which he was seen attempting to play the ukulele for the first time.

He stated in the caption, “My first ukulele lesson with @getstartedplayingukulele,” which was the handle of his instructor. Someone once said, “It’s never too late to start something new.”

Simple activities with his family are his favorite things to do when he’s not at Disney World or trying to master a new musical instrument. According to a story from PEOPLE published in June, Van Dyke celebrated Father’s Day with his wife, children, grandkids, and even great-grandchildren in a large party. On his Instagram account, he shared a number of pictures that he had taken during the festivities that took place at the major event.

“When I was pregnant with my first child, I had no idea what I was getting myself into,” she said. But it still blows my mind and fills me with gratitude that I’ve been given the opportunity to celebrate Father’s Day with some of my children, grandkids, and even great grandchildren! “All wonderful, non-toxic people!!” said the caption that accompanied the image. “And to share it all with my greatest gift @bijoubox in our magical fairyland @vandymanor I’m a very lucky boy!! @wesvandyke_fineart” @wesvandyke_fineart.

Even now, Van Dyke may be seen on the big or little screen every so often. In April, it was reported by PEOPLE that he had encountered Drake Hogestyn, a star of the program Days of Our Lives, at the gym and requested that he find him a position on the show.

“I asked, ‘Don’t you have any parts for people who are older?'” “Come on, just give it to me,” he said to Access at the time. “And he took me seriously, which led to him getting me a part!”

Van Dyke was cast as a war veteran who was also a “mystery man with amnesia” in four episodes that aired in September. In these episodes, he portrayed the part of a “mystery man with amnesia.”

Additionally, Van Dyke joked about his acting experience to Access, saying, “I have played old men before, but comedy old men.” This is the very first time that I have ever simply acted out the role of my 97-year-old self.” In one of the episodes, Silver also made a cameo appearance beside him.

Soon after he competed on season 9 of The Masked Singer, he got the news that he had been cast in the part on the well-known soap drama.

He was performing in character as a gnome while singing Frank Sinatra’s “When You’re Smiling.” According to a story from PEOPLE at the time, many people thought that he was Dustin Hoffman or Robert De Niro, but in the end, the judges weren’t able to figure out who he was.

When they questioned me about it, I hadn’t even seen the program yet. According to what he told PEOPLE, “So I checked it out, and it looked like a lot of fun.” “I was very certain that they wouldn’t be able to correctly identify who I was. And I was correct about it!
