“Janet Leigh left us on this day in 2004, and Tony Curtis passed away just last week in 2010,” Curtis, then 64 years old, said in an email. “Missing them both now for a long time, and I know from their activism that they would stand with @sagaftra and this righteous fight to protect their and all of our identities!”

In the month of December, Curtis welcomed the fact that the classic 1960 film Psycho directed by Alfred Hitchcock had made it into the list of Variety’s 100 Greatest Movies of All Time.

She then went on to say that “the miracle of the movies is that they last forever, in perpetuity.” How incredible it is to see her legacy in the present day via the adoring lens of Variety as the number one movie of all time!

In a post from January 2022, Curtis, who has two children with her husband Christopher Guest, once again pondered on her parents. She said that whenever she comes across old photographs of Janet and Tony, she is “caught by not only their extreme beauty but also their deep love and ambition.”

“As the product of a family in which there have been a total of 13 divorces, I have often struggled with the concept of love and wondered what becomes of it.” the author of Mother Nature wrote at this particular period.

“There are only a couple reminders to me that I was born from love and not resentment, competition, jealousy, and rancor which are the cornerstones of any unpleasant divorce,” continued Curtis. “There are only a couple reminders to me that I was born from love and not resentment, competition, jealousy, and rancor.” I also forget that they were well-known and well-liked all around the globe.
