There is another little one on the way for Iliza Shlesinger!

In a new comedic video that she posted on Instagram on Friday, the actress and comedian disclosed that she is expecting her second child, a boy who is due in February. She is 40 years old.

In the video, Shlesinger can be seen shocking a couple during their sex reveal by suddenly emerging from a box where the pair had anticipated balloons to burst out of instead. After discussing the impact that the practice has on the environment, she then revealed that she is expecting a child of her own.

Shlesinger told PEOPLE that recording the clip and telling her and her husband Noah Galuten’s wonderful baby news was “so fun!” Shlesinger is a chef and her husband is a cookbook author.

“Many of my close friends helped out. I do the best I can to utilize the platform I have to fight for the protection of the environment. “I just wanted to bring awareness to the fact that sex reveals and baby celebrations can be done in such an irresponsible manner, and at the same time, I wanted to make a point that simply having a baby is already enough of a reason to celebrate,” she says. Eat some cake and have a party; there’s no need to call the fire department for help!

Shlesinger says this about her second pregnancy: “Aside from mild nausea at first, I’ve been touring so much that I actually keep forgetting I’m pregnant (until I remember that my underwear doesn’t fit).”

She laughed as she said, “But I think being an older millennial mom who works, you are tired always anyway, so I guess I feel pretty normal.” “But I sure do miss being able to breathe through my nose!”

When it comes to being a mother for the second time, Shlesinger says she is “looking forward to being a little less clueless.”

“But at the same time, I am looking forward to discovering this brand-new person and seeing what he is all about!” she says. “I am excited to see what he is all about!”

In 2016, Shlesinger and Galuten had their first encounter on a dating app, and less than a year later, they were engaged to be married. They exchanged wedding vows in May of 2018 in Los Angeles.

In January of 2022, the couple became parents for the first time when they were blessed with a girl named Sierra Mae.

The comedian and soon-to-be mother was recently seen in an episode of HBO’s The Righteous Gemstones. She is now in the middle of her Hard Feelings tour, which will go on until the end of the year.
