Every day, people show compassion for others via a variety of actions; nevertheless, these deeds are not always recognized. However, the previous week, a lady from Florida named TiAnna saw a police officer doing an action that she considered to be significant.

While TiAnna was taking a walk across the street from a Dunkin’ Donuts in Ocala, she saw that a police officer had parked her squad vehicle in the parking lot of the establishment. The officer could be seen sitting on the curb next to a guy who seemed to be homeless. Officer Sergeant Erica Hay of the Ocala Police Department had given the homeless guy breakfast, and she wanted to sit down with him and enjoy it together.
TiAnna was left feeling so inspired by what she witnessed that she took a picture of it and uploaded it on Facebook. “Even though I was the only person lucky to witness less than two minutes of her generosity that definitely came from the heart,” TiAnna said, “it most certainly changed my morning.”

When the story gained widespread attention, Sergeant Hay was taken aback. The commander of the K-9 team in her department seemed worried about what she had done and said that she had only seen the guy sitting alone and made the decision to bring him breakfast since she felt bad about it. According to what she said to the Ocala Post, “He turned out to be a very kind man with a sad tale.” He is an honest person.

Simply paying attention to the person in close proximity to you may serve as a powerful reminder to anybody that being nice does not need much effort on their part; all that is required is for you to focus on them.
