A stepfather in Elk Grove, California, was so excited to tell his young stepson some fantastic news regarding the adoption process that he did something that was rather risky. Chris Overton was unable to control his enthusiasm despite the fact that he had just had surgery for a fractured femur and was suffering from an injury to his leg. After patiently waiting for years to complete the adoption procedure, he finally saw his stepson, Jameson, enjoying himself while swimming in the pool.
Jameson was his stepson. Chris rushed directly into the water and approached Jameson to personally deliver the uplifting words, “I’m your dad now.” He did this without any hesitation at all.
