Seal paused what he was doing to commemorate a momentous occasion in his life, which was his daughter Leni turning 19 years old. The artist best known for his hit song “Kiss From a Rose,” who just turned 60 years old, made a touching message on his Instagram account on Monday, and he devoted it to his cherished daughter.
On the crowded streets of New York City, Seal and Leni were seen smiling for the camera as they were posing together in the endearing snapshot. While Leni leaned against her father, Seal had a huge grin on his face and laid a hand on his hip. Leni’s father was also smiling broadly.
“I’m in New York with the young lady who improved the quality of my life 19 years ago,” he wrote. A heartfelt dedication to the positive influence Leni has had on Seal’s life, he said in the caption, “Thank you Leni for making me a better person.” He ended the letter with a straightforward “Love you, -papa.”
In the comments, Leni showed her appreciation for everyone’s kind words by saying, “So adorable! “I love you so much, papa.”
Seal and his daughter attended the Los Angeles premiere of “The Harder They Fall” in October of 2021, and while there, they walked the red carpet together.
Seal shared with ET that walking his first red carpet with his daughter, who was dressed for the event in a black Dolce & Gabbana little dress, was “one of the proudest moments of my life.”
When Leni’s mother, Heidi Klum, was pregnant with the now-adolescent, Seal was introduced to her. Seal went on to formally adopt Leni, whose biological father is an Italian businessman named Flavio Briatore, after the couple tied the knot in 2005 and went on to legally adopt her. In the end, Seal and Heidi were blessed with three children: Lou, age 13, Johan, age 16, and Henry, age 17, before deciding to end their marriage in 2014.
ET was informed that the singer’s relationship with Leni has stayed constant during their time together.
In reference to his connection with the young model, Seal has said that “it’s everything and it’s always been like that, ever since the day I met her mother.” “She was two weeks pregnant with this lovely woman when she told me. That connection has always been there between us.”
