The yelling storm between the former couple came to an end when Janelle began to box away her ex’s belongings.
Beware of spoilers! If you have seen the episode of Sister Wives from this week, you should continue with extreme care.
It would seem that Kody Brown and his second wife, Janelle Brown, have reached the point beyond which there is no turning back. In the episode of Sister Wives that aired this week, the passionate patriarch has a “testosterone Tuesday” with his brothers. During this conversation, he analyzes the influence that his divorce from ex-wife Christine Brown has had on the rest of his marriages.
Kody’s current wives, he says, have the impression that he is a “woman hater,” and he acknowledges that his wife Robyn Brown has confided in him that the divorce is having an impact on their marriage to one other.
Robyn states in the candid interview that she has seen Kody go through the process of going through a divorce and that he is all over the place. “One minute he’s furious, and then the next minute he’s extremely unhappy and sad, and then the next minute he’s in this serene place where he’s like, ‘Maybe this was meant to be,’ and then he goes back to being angry again… all of the sudden you’re on the Kody Coaster. It’s terrifying.
Kody makes light of the advantages of polygamy by joking that when he gets tired of being with one of his wives, he can just move on to the next one in the line. In her confessional interview, Meri Brown expressed her disgust at the statement, adding, “That kind of comment just makes me want to vomit… figure out how you can work together and be together rather than using somebody else as an escape.” You’ve got to be joking, right?
However, it would seem that Kody is not very interested in working to improve the situation. He then travels to Janelle’s residence to engage in a conversation regarding the conflicting Christmas plans that the family has, which rapidly becomes poisonous. Even though Kody claims that he does not need an apology from his and Janelle’s boys anymore, Janelle assures him that he is free to contact them whenever he likes in order to resolve the situation.
“That phone goes both ways, and I’ve been available to talk to them,” Kody tells his wife while they are on the phone together.
But Janelle is not convinced by your argument.

“You know, it still shocks me that Kody thinks that it’s my obligation to create this bond between he and my children. I’m the one who brought them together, after all. She adds of the man who is the father of her six children, “He’s a parent just as much as I am.”
Kody and Janelle both accuse the other of “gaslighting” as each appear to recollect a separate series of events, with Kody linking the family’s troubles to everyone’s refusal to obey his COVID rules. Janelle, on the other hand, seems to recall the events in the same way as Kody does. Janelle emphasizes once again that she complied with the recommendations provided by the CDC, stating that her husband did not provide any lucid responses for her about a list of instructions that she and her children were required to observe.
“You wanted me to tell the boys to leave,” she said. Janelle responds, “You act like this is not your fault.”
Kody asks her, “Do you want this to work out?” she nods her head yes.
“I can’t say for sure. Is that so? Because when you say, “Choose your loyalties,” we know that you’re referring to. “Choose between me and your children,'” she adds, “I wasn’t going to turn my boys out in the middle of a pandemic.” I wasn’t going to throw my sons out in the middle of an epidemic.
Kody mentions that his boys “blamed” his wife, Robyn Brown, for the COVID restrictions, to which Janelle responds, “When you were gone for four or five months, Kody, they started to get angry.” Kody also mentions that Janelle told him that his sons “blamed” Robyn Brown for the COVID rules.
That assertion irritates Kody, who refers to it as “an exaggeration and a lie.” Kody chooses to breach the fourth wall after Janelle accuses him of “manipulating” the situation. He points to the cameras and says, “Tell me how I’m manipulating. No, no, you must inform everyone. Tell absolutely everyone, and then go hang out with your pal Christine when you’ve finished. Tell the world about the lies I’ve told you, the ways I’ve misled you, and the wrongs I’ve done to you.

Kody’s wife, whom he refers to as Janelle’s “co-parent,” is accused by Kody of “cheating” him out of time with the rest of his family. Kody finally leaves the home in a huff, and Janelle yells multiple expletives before telling the TLC cameras to “shut it off.” The argument between the two stops there.
Later, a surprised Janelle comments about the fight, saying, “It was stunning. I was pretty unhappy when he went because it seems like there’s a finality to it, and now I’m scared about what happens to me… it seems like Kody and I are no longer going to be a relationship.” “I was extremely angry when he left because it seems like there’s a finality to it,”
After some time has passed, she discloses that she contacted Kody and urged him to gather his belongings, stating, “In my mind, he is out of the house.”
Janelle continues by stating that she is unable to completely move away because of her religious convictions and her religion, but she adds, “I don’t really want to see him.” I am aware of the fact that he does have a sense of duty; he believes that he is unable to divorce a woman because it would reflect poorly on him to leave a wife destitute, and as a result, his pattern seems to be one in which he mostly disregards the individual in question. It seems as if he wants you to announce that the relationship is ended because he does not want the burden of being the husband who tells his wife, “I don’t want to be married to you anymore.”
The next thing that happens is that Janelle starts to worry about her current financial status. She realizes that she invested all of her money in the concept that her family will develop on the Coyote Pass land, but they have not done so.
“I am a highly intelligent lady, and yet I have just committed a really stupid act. I have put my faith in this extended family system,” she says with regret.

After some time has passed, Kody gets together with Robyn and Meri to talk about the holidays. During their conversation, Kody discloses that he and Janelle got into a fight, claiming that during the argument, “We threw rocks at glass houses.”
“I’d rather just be around people who want to be around me,” the father of 18 children says of the upcoming Christmas season. “I’m sorry, but I can’t talk to Janelle right now. We are now beyond the point of no return.”
Next, Meri gives voice to an idea that most certainly crosses the minds of many viewers when she says, “Perhaps it would be simpler for me to just hole up in my house and not be around.” It’s tight, uncomfortable, and just plain strange.
In spite of the fact that the Brown family seems to be disintegrating, it appears that the drama has surely delighted viewers. The opening of Sister Wives season 18 earlier this month was not only the highest-rated season opener for the TLC reality show in the last ten years, but it was also the most watched cable program overall for the week among women aged 25 to 54.
On TLC every Sunday night at 10 p.m. Eastern Time, new episodes of the show Sister Wives will premiere.
