After taking a hiatus to shoot “Joker: Folie à Deus,” Lady Gaga has resumed performing at her Jazz & Piano performances.
Lady Gaga is now performing in Las Vegas. On Thursday night, Lady Gaga, who is now 37 years old and known as the Mother Monster, continued her residency titled Lady Gaga: Jazz & Piano at Dolby Live, which is situated in Park MGM. During the performance, she made sure to pay respect to the late Tony Bennett.

Before her performance, the singer who is best known for her hit song “Applause” gave fans a sneak peek at her much awaited comeback by uploading a photo on Instagram in which she was sporting glam makeup, including winged eyeliner and a strong red lip, while clutching a playbill.

“IT’S OUR OPENING SHOW IN VEGAS BABY 1 hour and 16 minutes until we hit the stage to SWING ” “IT’S OUR OPENING SHOW IN VEGAS BABY” Gaga, whose true name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, captioned the photo. Her real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta.

Gaga addressed her late collaborator’s widow, Susan Crow, who was allegedly in attendance for the first gig since Bennett’s loss in July. The performance was the first one after Bennett’s passing.

“Susan, everybody in this audience loves you so much,” Gaga added before addressing about Bennett, who she has previously said she would miss “forever.” “Susan, everybody in this audience loves you so much,”

“To tell you the truth, I was at a loss for words when it came to talking about Tony since the whole of this concert was dedicated to Tony. Every single thing. She said that the opening number, the middle song, all of the diamonds, all of the musical instruments, all of the directing, and all of the improvisation were all stored in his memory. But if I knew Tony well, I know that he would be very upset at me for being sad, and I know that he would be really mad at me for coming out here and being unhappy, so I couldn’t come out here and be sad.

In light of this, Gaga, who had worked with Bennett for the first time in 2011, revealed that she had made the decision to remember her late friend by giving a performance of one of his songs titled “Fly Me to the Moon.”

“I sang this song while Tony was still alive, and I’m going to sing it now, even though he’s gone, because he’ll never be gone,” she added. “I sang it when Tony was still alive, and I’m going to sing it now, even though he’s gone.” “Here, Susan, take care of this. I’m determined to make it through this. I swear to it. Even though I’ll never be able to do it as good as Tony, I’ll still try.

An eyewitness has revealed to Entertainment Tonight that Lady Gaga paid a particular homage to Bennett not only at the end of the event but also at the beginning of the performance by utilizing his voice to introduce herself over the microphone. A recording of the late singer’s voice was played for the audience just before Lady Gaga took the stage, and he introduced her by stating, “Ladies and gentlemen… Lady Gaga.”

Following the performance, Gaga also offered her fans a glimpse of herself by standing with her glam squad while wearing a glistening tuxedo.

Gaga accompanied the photo with the message “THAT ALL FOLKS @fredericaspiras @sarahtannomakeup.”

The jazz and piano residency of the winner of a GRAMMY was first launched by the performer in January 2019, and she alternated appearances with her pop show Enigma at the time. In May of 2022, she gave her last performance of the Jazz and Piano event.

After that, Gaga decided to cast herself as the villainous Harley Quinn in the forthcoming film Joker: Folie à Deux. This marked the beginning of her transformation into the character of the Joker’s archenemy. Alongside Joaquin Phoenix, who is reprising his role as the DC Comics antihero The Joker, the singer also has a part in the film. Phoenix had already been awarded an Academy Award for his performance in the film Joker (2019), which told the origin tale of his character.

In April, Gaga’s shooting of Joker: Folie à Deux came to an end. Dolby Live at Park MGM will once again play host to Gaga for a total of 12 performances before closing on October 5.

After the singer of “Born This Way” expressed her sorrow at the passing of jazz artist Tony Bennett, with whom she collaborated on the albums “Duets II” (2011) and “Cheek to Cheek” (2014), Gaga made the announcement that she would be doing a fresh set of gigs. 2021 saw the publication of the duo’s joint effort, Love for Sale, which also served as Bennett’s last studio album and garnered him his final GRAMMY Award.

Bennett passed away on July 21 in New York City, his homeland, barely two weeks short of reaching the age milestone of 97 years old. Although the particular reason of Bennett’s passing has not been disclosed, the fact that he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2016 and had revealed this information to the public in 2021 precedes his passing.
