According to a source who spoke with People, Joe Jonas has hired a divorce attorney after the conclusion of his four-year marriage to Sophie Turner.
Jonas, who is 34 years old, and Turner, who is 27 years old, have tied the knot twice, the first time in Las Vegas and the second time in France. They are the parents of two children together.
PEOPLE reached out to representatives for Jonas, but they did not react right away to our request for comment. In the meanwhile, a representative from Turner refused to comment.

In 2016, the actress from Game of Thrones and the singer from the Jonas Brothers made their first contact using the direct message feature on Instagram.
“We had a lot of mutual friends, and they’d been trying to introduce us for a long time,” Turner stated in a cover interview for Harper’s Bazaar UK. She went on to say that the two were already following each other on Instagram when “he direct-messaged me one fine day, out of the blue.”
Jonas and Turner connected on Instagram, and not long after that, Jonas sent Turner an invitation to hang out with him when he was on tour in the United Kingdom. Turner’s pals felt it would be “hilarious” and were successful in persuading her to go through with it.
The two individuals decided to meet up at a pub, and Turner decided to bring several of her “rugby boys” with her to protect herself in case Jonas turned out to be a catfish. She had anticipated that Jonas would “show up with security,” so she was pleasantly taken aback when the singer came with a pal in tow.

The couple became parents for the first time in 2020, to a girl whom they named Willa, and then again in 2022, in July, they became parents to their second child. In reference to his experience as a parent, Jonas said to PEOPLE one year ago, “It’s been amazing to be a dad and to learn every day more about myself and what that’s like.”

The photograph was uploaded to Turner’s Instagram Story, and in it, the pair could be seen posing in front of a mirror while wearing identical green-and-white striped pajamas. Turner was also taking a selfie at the same time.
In addition, the actress had braided pigtails and wore a little amount of makeup, but it looked like Jonas had his hair slicked back as he was looking at her phone.
On the photograph, Turner had written, “Happy birthday, handsome.”
Earlier on in this year, Turner expressed her support for Jonas by attending a ceremony awarding the Jonas Brothers with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The event was held by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
Each sibling was given the chance to speak, and when Jonas was up at the microphone, he made it a point to acknowledge his wife with a particular compliment throughout his turn.
