A green mailbox has been put up at the Columbus Zoo so that visitors may leave letters for Hanna and his family. This is part of the Columbus Zoo’s effort to demonstrate to Hanna and his family how much he meant to so many families throughout the United States.

The family of Hanna has also sent a public thank you to everyone who has offered their condolences and words of support since Hanna’s passing. Your kind notes, words of encouragement, and the privacy you have allowed our family are all things for which we cannot thank you enough.

Hanna, like many other renowned faces dealing with neurological disorders, such as Michael J. Fox, is very dependent on the assistance of his family. His wife spoke out about the challenges of taking care of him, saying with affection, “It’s hard. Really challenging on certain days. However, since dad looked after me for all those years, it is now my responsibility to look after him.
