Terry Dubrow is making a full recovery after a terrifying experience. Multiple news agencies have reported that the Botched actor had a medical issue when he was out to dinner with his wife, Heather Dubrow, who stars on Real Housewives of Orange County.
The incident reportedly took place on August 3 in Los Angeles as the couple was out to dinner with their son Nicholas, who is 19 years old. During their meal, Terry reportedly started slurring his words. According to TMZ, which was the first to break the incident, Heather told Nicholas to phone 911 despite the fact that Terry’s slurred speech did not endure for very long. This caused Terry a great deal of displeasure.
According to the outlet’s claim, the plastic surgeon called for an Uber to take Terry home since he was feeling well and the paramedics determined that his vital signs were okay. According to the site, Terry ultimately consented to go be checked out after being persuaded to do so by Heather and by many other doctors who are friends of his.
The media sites indicate that when Terry arrived to the hospital, physicians discovered that he had suffered a transient ischemic stroke, also known as a TIA. This finding was made public. According to the Mayo Clinic, a transient ischemic attack (TIA) is a transitory period of symptoms that are similar to those of a stroke. Although a TIA does not cause any permanent harm, if it is left untreated it may escalate to a full-blown stroke.

The sites indicate that when Terry was being evaluated, physicians found that he had a patent foramen ovale (PFO), which is a hole in the heart that, according to the Mayo Clinic, didn’t shut the way it should after birth. This defect was identified while Terry was being evaluated. According to claims from E! News, Terry was informed that a blood clot had made its way through the PFO, gone to his brain, and been the cause of the TIA.
According to the publications, medical professionals attended to Terry right after and highlight that he has made a complete recovery since then. According to TMZ, he’s already been approved for surgery and is working out at a high level. In fact, he’s already been performing high-intensity exercises.
Last year, Hailey Bieber went through a similar worry with her health, and comedian Cat Cohen came out about her own comparable experience on the same day that the news of Terry’s TIA was made public.
“I learned many things from this terrifying experience,” the plastic surgeon said in an interview with E! News. “One: If you or anybody else around you displays probable indications of having a stroke, time is of the essence; you have five hours to travel to a hospital in order to preserve your life. Two: If you recently traveled, make sure you walk around a lot to keep the blood moving and avoid clots from forming in your veins. Three: People are less likely to have a PFO than they think (between 20 and 30 percent), and TIAs and strokes may happen to anybody at any age.
In addition to praising his wife, Terry offered the piece of advice to “listen to your partner” when they show worry about your well-being.
Do not fight with them, do not ignore them, and have it checked out as soon as possible if they are worried about anything. It’s possible that what they see is totally different from what you experience,” he said to me. “Remember to be thankful for the people who love you. I have a lot of affection for my wife, Heather, and I thank God for her for being so persistent and insistent. She single-handedly saved my life.
Terry, who is 64 years old, wrote an additional post about the event on Instagram, in which he reiterated his prior remarks regarding the circumstance.
“Take the time to hear out your spouse. It’s possible that what you see and what they see are two completely different things. The plastic surgeon said that the difference between life and passing may sometimes be measured in seconds. “I love you very much, @heatherdubrow.”
The same thing was said by Heather, who is 54 years old, on Instagram in response to the health concern that her husband was experiencing: “I love this man with my whole heart.”
It’s a miracle that Terry is going to be all right; things might have turned out quite differently. Get someone who seems to be suffering stroke-like symptoms to the hospital as soon as possible. The actress of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” noted in her note that “you have five hours to get them treatment.” “I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to the doctors, nurses, and techs at Hoag Hospital as well as everyone else involved who helped us during this very scary time. Please accept my sincere gratitude.” We are blown away by the amount of love and support that you have shown Terry and I; we cannot thank you enough.
