The Travolta family has a long history in the entertainment industry. Because both of his parents had professions in the entertainment business, he and his five siblings all chose performing as their profession. After John made the decision that he wanted to pursue a profession in acting when he was 17, he left high school. Soon after this, he was offered a part in the Broadway production of “Grease.” After another five years, the actor finally got his big break and established himself as the country’s most eligible bachelor. In spite of the fact that his career was relatively inactive throughout the 1980s, it began to take up in the 1990s, and the actor went on to star in a string of films that helped solidify his place in the business.
In addition to performing, John is passionate about other things as well. He has extensive training and has three different certifications as a pilot. He is qualified to fly not just the Boeing 737, but also the Boeing 707 and the Boeing 747, in addition to other aircraft. In the late 1990s, John constructed and moved into a mansion in Florida that was situated on 550 acres as a way to display his passion for flying. People who want to fly into and out of their residences were taken into consideration during construction of the Jumbolair Aviation Estates.
John’s ambition of having a site where aircraft could land in the yard was realized when he purchased this property. The Gulfstream II jet is one of the aircraft that can be seen parked in one of the pavilions within the estate. The multi-talented individual is also a vocalist and has recorded numerous albums; four songs from those albums have made it into the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Parenting his two children, Ella Travolta and Benjamin Travolta, is one of the things that holds John’s heart the most dearly. On July 27, 2023, he shared a video on his website depicting a journey to Japan that he had taken with his children. The vocalist captured memorable moments on tape and afterwards provided the uplifting footage to the audience. Keep reading to find out more information on the trip that the family took.
John is not a novice when it comes to experiencing loss and sadness. Because of breast cancer, he had to say goodbye to his wife, the actress Kelly Preston, in July of 2020. She was just 57 years old. After breaking the news to a startled audience that was previously uninformed of Preston’s cancer diagnosis, the actor begged for some time to mourn the loss of his late wife after publishing a statement on her passing. In the latter half of the year 2020, John began making appearances in public.
Preston and John first crossed paths on set in 1988, and three years later, in 1991, they tied the knot. Preston said that the couple’s consistent attendance at therapy sessions helped strengthen their relationship, which contributed to the overall quality of their marriage. The couple’s children were Jett Travolta, Ella, who is now 23, and Benjamin, who is 12 years old. Sadly, Jett passed away while he was just 16 years old. When the family traveled on vacation to the Bahamas, the adolescent had a seizure in the bathroom and smacked his head on the bathtub. He passed only a short time later.
Benjamin was born to John and Preston exactly one year after their older child went away in 2009. The pilot attributes his full recovery from the discomfort to the arrival of his second son as well as the support of his immediate family. When Jett was alive, he suffered from autism and had frequent seizures. Following his passing, John established a foundation in his name to support children who have unique need. The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy, the Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential, and the Simon Wiesenthal Center are some of the institutions that have benefited from donations made by the foundation.
The benefactor, who is now 69 years old, is very possessive of his two surviving children and lavishes unending affection on them. He said that he would assist his children in every way that he could, regardless of the difficulty. In his words:
“I will make sure that my children have a bright future, and I will assist them in figuring out what they want to do with their lives.”
On July 27, 2023, the famous actor sent a touching message on his Instagram profile, which he then shared with his fans. John uploaded a movie on YouTube that had vignettes of his family’s vacation on a private jet in Japan. His children, Ben and Ella, appeared in the video, which included AJR’s 2021 smash single “Bang!” playing in the backdrop.
John captioned the video, “Here’s our Summer trip to Japan,” and included a link to the video.
The family made a quick break in Seattle before continuing on their journey with several of their close friends from back home. On the observation deck, the actor from “Grease” and a number of other visitors shot photographs and movies of one other. A little later on, the video captured the moment when everyone at the party sat down to dine at a long table.

When they got back to the aircraft, John presented their schedule to them. The cover of the itinerary said “Travolta World Airlines,” and it stated that the journey from Seattle to Tokyo would take ten hours. Following their arrival in Tokyo, Japan, the film showed Ben interacting with several owls he had brought along. After that, there was a sight of an incoming white bullet train that came next.
The next image that John displayed was of himself and Ella together just before they boarded the high-speed train. In addition to that, he uploaded a picture of himself and Ben standing about as they waited for the train. While John and Barbie were on the train, John clinked his glass together and said, “Come on, Barbie, let’s go party.”
The next incident took place at a zoo, when Benjamin fed a monkey through a metal cage while the gang was there. After some time had passed, Ella and her brother were now standing in front of a temple. After that, Ben and his buddies went to a theme park before taking pictures with Charlie Brown and Snoopy from the Peanuts comics. Before heading back to the United States, they had some fun at the waterpark they went to at the conclusion of the trip.
