Because everyone knows all too well that bringing your daughter to a Taylor Swift concert is the pinnacle of fatherhood, Kevin Costner’s reputation as a celebrity father has just skyrocketed as a result of this recent event.
The Yellowstone actor and his daughter Grace, who is 13 years old, were seen enjoying a nice father-daughter date on Monday night at SoFi Stadium in California for Day 5 of the Midnights diva’ Eras Tour event. The 68-year-old actor was seen in a VIP room with a grin on his face, a white dress shirt, and even a few of friendship bracelets.
According to a witness who spoke with Entertainment Tonight, Kevin Costner played the role of a responsible parent and was also spotted conversing with the narrator of Never Have I Ever and tennis icon John McEnroe in the VIP suite.
“He definitely seemed tired by the middle of the show, but he stayed for his daughter,” the eyewitness told Entertainment Tonight (ET). The performance, which also includes any opening acts, lasts for close to six hours.
There have been many more celebrities present during Swift’s Eras Tour than only Costner. When Channing Tatum was seen dancing the night away with his own daughter in a video that was given by none other than Gayle King, it was clear that he was channeling his inner father. Swift’s highly anticipated tour has been attended by a number of famous people, including Vanessa Bryant, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Sarah Paulson, Mindy Kaling, Brie Larson, and Sarah Michelle Gellar, to name just a few.
After spending time in Aspen, Colorado with his three children — boys Cayden, 16, and Hayes, 14, and daughter Grace — whom he has with his former wife Christine Baumgartner, Kevin Costner just spent time with his daughter Grace. The father-daughter adventure comes less than two weeks after the family vacation.
A heated divorce battle is now being fought out between Baumgartner and Costner. The most recent turn of events in the case resulted in the Santa Barbara Court setting hearing dates for the 31st of August and the 9th of September to determine how much child support Costner would be required to pay. Although the court has already decided that the actor-director will be required to make payments of $129,755 a month, the sum will not be finalized until the judge gives his or her approval.
During the course of the proceedings, representatives from both camps will present their cases. Baumgartner has in the past asked an amount equal to 248,000 dollars per month, whereas Costner has said that he is prepared to pay out 51,940 dollars per month.
