Gesine Bullock-Prado is reflecting about Bryan Randall now that he has passed away. On the same day that the news came that Sandra Bullock’s longtime boyfriend Randall had passed away following a secret, three-year struggle with ALS, the actress’ sister turned to Instagram to pay respect to the departed photographer.

Alongside a happy picture of Randall, Bullock-Prado’s post stated, “I’m convinced that Bry has found the best fishing spot in heaven and is already casting his lure into rushing rivers teaming with salmon.” The caption was accompanied by a photo of Randall.

“Lou Gehrig’s disease is a cruel disease, but there is some comfort in knowing that he had the best of caretakers in my incredible sister and the band of nurses she assembled to help her look after him in their home,” she continued. “ALS is a cruel disease.” “May you finally find some rest, Bryan.”

On Monday, Randall’s family shared the sad news that he had passed away. In lieu of sending flowers, the Bullock-Prado family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Randall’s name to the Massachusetts General Hospital and the ALS Association.

In a statement to ET, Bryan Randall’s family said, “It is with great sadness that we share the news that on August 5, Bryan Randall passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with ALS.” “Bryan made the decision early on to keep his journey with ALS private, and those of us who were there for him and cared for him did everything we could to honor his request,”

His family said that they are “extremely grateful to the tireless doctors who navigated the landscape of this illness with us and to the astounding nurses who became our roommates, often sacrificing their own families to be with ours.” “We are extremely grateful to the tireless doctors who navigated the landscape of this illness with us and to the astounding nurses who became our roommates.”

“At this time, we ask for privacy in order to grieve and come to terms with the impossibility of saying goodbye to Bryan,” the statement’s conclusion said, signed “His Loving Family.”

Bullock, 59, first became acquainted with Randall, a photographer and model, in January 2015, when he was assigned the task of photographing her son Louis’s birthday party. The age of Louis is now 13, and Bullock is also the mother of Laila, who is 11 years old. Later on in that year, they decided to make their relationship public, but up to that point, they had primarily kept it under wraps. Bullock has not made any public statements on the passing of Randall.
