When John Schneider made his first public appearance in Hollywood since the passing of his late wife Alicia Allain earlier this year, he paid tribute to her in his opening remarks.
During an interview with The Daily Mail that took place earlier this week at the Drinks with Dee Dee Sorvino cabaret event, The Dukes of Hazzard actor, now 63 years old, addressed the creation of his new album, titled We Are Still Us. He said that the record would “honor” his late wife, who passed away in February.
Because Alicia, my future wife, and I created our own films and music, we were never employed by anybody else. “So that was very, very helpful,” stated Schneider after considering the information. “Now that my significantly, significantly, significantly better half is not here but waiting for me, I am trying to honor her professionalism and I am trying to honor her skill.”
“I recently completed a new record that I believe to be the pinnacle of everything that I’ve accomplished in my career. It is entirely about her, and it is called We’re Still Us,” he said, saying that although the LP has been “useful” to make, there was never a moment when it didn’t “hurt like hell.” Despite the fact that the LP has been “beneficial,” the creation of it has been difficult.
“It was really painful to write. “It was extremely painful to sing,” Schneider said. “But the end result is going to be healing for those who are going through this,” she said. “And if two people get married, statistically speaking, one of them is going to pass away first.”

Additionally, Schneider disclosed to The Daily Mail that he writes letters to his late wife on a regular basis. He shared with the media source, “Every day I write a letter to heaven,”
“I think people need to know it’s okay to love someone that much,” Schneider added. “I think people need to know it’s okay to love someone that much.” “In point of fact, this is the way you ought to feel about your partner.”
“A lot of people tell me, ‘I wish my husband felt that way about me.’ I find it very interesting. The actor continued by saying, “Well, maybe they do, but you’re just too busy living your life to realize it.”
He continued by saying that if he could convince just one couple that they were “perfect” then “this will not have been in vain.”

On his Facebook page, Schneider had previously published a number of messages that were devoted to his late wife in the days that followed the announcement that he had made of the passing of his wife on February 22.
The actor captioned a snapshot of himself and Allain kissing each other on February 26 with the following: “I simply have no words but… I miss you desperately Mrs. Schneider.” The photograph featured the actor and Allain.
In a different post that was published the day before, Schneider placed a kiss on his wife’s lips and commented below the picture, “For me, this is what love looks like.”
An online obituary states that the actor’s wife passed away on February 22 while at home surrounded by relatives, and on same day, the 22nd of February, the actor posted a reaction to the loss of his wife on Facebook. Her age was 53.
“My beautiful Smile is pain free, living in her new body alongside Jesus,” Schneider captioned a snapshot of himself and Allain, as well as an image of the couple holding hands with their wedding rings clearly visible in the foreground of the photograph.
“We ask that you accept our need for privacy at this difficult time. He proceeded by requesting his followers, “Please do not ask any questions,” before adding, “If you have any pictures of us and our obvious love and adoration for each other, please post them below.”
“Finally,” Schneider said, “hug the people you care about the most and tell them how you truly feel.” “That was always the case.”
The pair tied the knot on September 25, 2019, in a low-key ceremony that took place in the barn of John Schneider Studios located in Holden, Louisiana.
