Mary Ann offered Stacy encouragement and comfort, drawing on her own experience of delivering a third child. This helped ease Stacy’s anxiety. Because Stacy held the memory of her nurse’s thoughtfulness in such high regard, she decided to add a picture of her in the baby book that she had made for her daughter.
