Blake Lively is an expert when it comes to running a successful lemonade business.

The actress introduced a new line of canned drinks in June under the name Betty Booze. The product is a companion to the sparkling mixer firm that she founded, Betty Buzz. Sparkling Tequila with Oak Smoked Lemonade, one of the brand’s three flavors, is named after her since it was inspired by her entrepreneurial energy.

She captioned a new image with the phrase “The female start up grind is underrated,” which included a shot of herself standing outside of a “21+” lemonade stand. “The formula for lemonade that I came up with 13 years ago for summer lemonade stands is where Betty Booze got her start. Yeah. I still do lemonade stands. To be honest, I didn’t really get into it until I was in my 20s.

The non-drinker mother of four added that “the lemonade stand version is obviously alcohol free” (and it “sells out FAST,” she noted), but adults would often ask her for a spiked version of the beverage.

She went on to say that since it occurred so often, it was the inspiration for the creation of @bettybooze.

According to the official Betty Booze Instagram account, the one-of-a-kind recipe calls just a little amount of butter. This imparts “a special smoothness” to the beverage.

There are two other variants of Betty Booze, both of which are sold at Total Wine locations around the country, as well as online and in their physical shops. These tastes include sparkling tequila with lime shiso and sparkling bourbon with apple ginger sour cherry.

Since the product’s release, Lively has expressed her gratitude by saying, “I couldn’t be more proud or grateful seeing how much you all love it as well!!!! my ego thanks you.”

Additionally, Lively provided a preview of what’s to store for Betty Buzz.

She said, “And yes, we are working on my alcohol-free lemonade for Betty Buzz, which will be coming soon enough.”

Lively, who does not drink alcohol herself, provided an explanation for how she came to operate an alcohol firm when she made the formal announcement of the debut of Betty Booze.

“I’ve never been much of a drinker. But taste is the most important thing,” she added. “Homemade recipes. Real fruit. Real ingredients. Drinks of a high quality. Not one word. Additionally efficient use of time. Because of this, I went ahead and did it.
