Daniel Radcliffe is making the most of all the enchanted moments that come with becoming a parent.
A conversation that Daniel Radcliffe had with Extra on his journey towards parenthood while promoting the fourth season of his comedy series Miracle Workers took place just before the SAG-AFTRA strike began.
“He’s very cute,” the actor who played Harry Potter remarked of his son, who is now three months old. “We’ve moved into a phase where there’s less screaming, and now he’s giving us little smiles and giggling.”
“It’s been a crazy few months, as anyone who’s been through the experience of parenthood would attest,” added Radcliffe. “But in addition to that, it is the most finest thing that has ever taken place, so it’s wonderful. I count myself really fortunate to be able to spend this time with him. It’s very cool.”
PEOPLE was informed by a representative for Radcliffe that the actor and his fiancée Erin Darke had became parents in the month of April. This was the couple’s first child together. At that time, no more information was shared with the public.
The revelation was initially reported by the Daily Mail, which also published photographs showing the two stars strolling around New York City together as Radcliffe pushed a stroller.
During the month of October, Radcliffe and Evan Rachel Wood discussed their film “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story” for the publication Newsweek. The two performers spoke about the challenges of breaking into the industry at a young age, with one of them remarking that movie sets “can be wonderful” locations for children.
“I want my children, if and when they come into the world…According to what Radcliffe said to Newsweek, “I would love for them to be around film sets.” “It would be a dream come true if they were to walk onto a film set and say, ‘God, you know, I’d love to be in the art department.'” I’d do everything to be a part of the cast or crew.’ Some of this, but not any of that.”
In an interview with PEOPLE that took place in March of last year, Radcliffe gushed about how happy he is with the direction his personal life is taking at the moment. “My life is very amazing right now. He said, “My girlfriend and I have been together for pretty much a decade now.” “This makes us really happy.”
In the year 2020, Daniel Radcliffe said that the tale of how he and Emma Watson first met on the set of Kill Your Darlings in 2012 will be “hell of a story to tell our kids one day.”
“Because of what our characters do with each other,” concluded Radcliffe, referring to the couple’s passionate kissing moment. “Our characters are meeting and interacting with each other, so there is this kind of sweet record of us just meeting for the first time and flirting.”
