A teenager’s face was completely consumed by a gigantic tumor, which led to his mother disowning him. The tumour has now been successfully removed.

The Ivorian adolescent, who goes by the name Prosper, was only ten years old when the disease first began to spread to his face.
At the age of 16, he had been robbed of his sight, he was having trouble breathing, and both his mother and the society in which he resided had abandoned him. He was a hopeless case.
His own father was the only one who stood by him and defended him.
He reached out to Sister Claudine at the Liliane Foundation in the hopes of finding someone who might assist his kid.

They brought his situation to the attention of the Italian charitable organization A Voice For Padre Pio, which produced an appeal video and transported him to Naples.
After 14 months of treatment at the Naples Pascale Hospital in Italy, it was determined that the patient’s tumor was a rare form of cancer known as Burkitt lymphoma. This kind of cancer targets the immune system.
Prosper is quoted as saying, “When I first arrived here, I frequently felt afraid.” I can only assume that dread was the only emotion I felt. My nose used to be in the way of my vision. In order for me to see, I had to push my nose into the ground.
People in his hometown of Bondoukou, Japan, believed he was cursed and stayed away from him as a result.
“People said I was some kind of monster,” he stated. “People said I was a monster.” “Saying that maybe it was something I had eaten that made me like this, but my cheeks just kept getting bigger and bigger,” she said, “but my cheeks just kept getting bigger and bigger.”
Prosper Kambou You were unable to see and had difficulty breathing before to the operation.
In the previous year, he was treated with chemotherapy, radiation, and stem cell replacement for a total of six months.
He shared his experience, stating, “Three days after I started chemo, I realized I didn’t need to keep my nose down any more to see.
“When I go out in public, I don’t weep anymore, and that makes me extremely happy. I like interacting with new individuals. I like going out, having fun, and generally goofing around. I have no difficulties. I am overjoyed to be here.”
After successfully removing all of the cancerous tissue from his face, the physicians are now working on rebuilding it.
After his face was reconstructed in surgery, Prosper is getting the bandages taken from his face.
“There’s a flaw in the development of the facial bones,” the specialist Dr. Franc Ionna remarked, “I can see it.” A change has been made to the facial bone in his appearance.
It’s not symmetrical; the left side is different from the right. On one side there is an excess of bone, whereas the other side has a shortage.
The effects of the radiation are still being felt in Prosper’s bones, which are in the process of healing.
The cancer-damaged skin and the scar tissue that had become rigid as a result of the radiation were removed by the surgeon during a three-hour operation.

“I had an endless series of difficulties due to him having gone through radiotherapy,” the doctor Ionna added, “the tissues were very stiff just like a wall.”
Three weeks after his operation, Prosper traveled all the way back to his home in the Ivory Coast.

However, more aggressive treatment may enhance one’s chances of survival.

Prosper said, “My face has undergone a transformation. It is not yet complete, although it has undergone several alterations. Even I have been transformed. I am not like previously.
Before I left, I couldn’t make out anything in the distance. Even though it’s my home country, I’m still a stranger here since I just arrived today. I am now able to see everything clearly.
“I have no idea what to anticipate happening. How the guests will be greeted. I am unsure as to whether or not the reception will be favorable. We are getting closer, and now we can see it.
After the new year, I plan to return to school to further my education and figure out what it is that I want to accomplish with the rest of my life.
In the not too distant future, the young person will have more surgery in Italy.
