Just in time for the warm weather, Michael Clifford would like to convey some very important news. Crystal Leigh, who is 33 years old and married to guitarist Ashton Irwin of the band 5 Seconds of Summer, is said to be carrying the couple’s first child.
The happy parents-to-be announced on Thursday that they would be welcoming a little girl into the world by posting images of their gender reveal party, which included a cloud of pink smoke and confetti showering their celebration. Clifford captioned the photo with, “I’m gonna be a girl dad,” and shared the news on Instagram.
A month ago, the artist, who is 27 years old, shared with People that he is “filled with excitement and also with nerves.” “I’ve been a dog dad for a long time, so I think I’m ready for a small human to take care of and communicate conversationally with after eight years of one-sided dog convos!”
Leigh continued by saying, “I couldn’t be happier!! My heart is bursting with happiness, and I’ve never been this content in all of my years on this planet. It would be nice to believe that the baby’s positive feelings and energy are rubbing off on me, but the reality is that it’s probably just the hormones.”
The expectant mother said, “We have friends who have had extraordinarily challenging pregnancies, so I was prepared for the worst.” But up until this point, it’s been a really good experience overall, and I count my blessings and am filled with joy!
At the beginning of her pregnancy, Leigh disclosed that she experienced a “small complication in the beginning” in the form of a subchorionic hematoma. This information was shared by Leigh.
