Robyn made her comeback on Instagram with a very important revelation: she is now a mother!
The singer best known for her hit single “Dancing on My Own” — whose given name is Robin Miriam Carlsson — informed her fans on Tuesday that she had given birth to a son and introduced them to the new addition to her family.
The caption read, “My time is yours for as long as you live, Tyko,” and was accompanied by a photograph of her infant son, who gazed intently into the lens of the camera with his bright baby blue eyes. Tyko has blonde hair, much as his mother had when he was a child.
Robyn, who is 44 years old, did not provide any other information, such as the day her son was born or with whom — if anybody — she celebrated his arrival.
Fans of the Swedish artist flocked to the post’s comments section to express their delight at the news. The post received likes from Katy Perry and Dan Levy, who plays Schitt on Schitt’s Creek.
“A mother!!!” one supporter said.
Another person said that they “cannot wait to see him dancing on his own to your new music” and offered their congrats.
The comment area was flooded with red love emojis from other devoted followers. There was much conjecture among her devotees that her prolonged absence was due to the fact that she was working on new songs.
The song “Missing U,” which Robyn released in 2018, marked her return to the solo music scene after an absence of eight years.
