Peta Murgatroyd is providing an update on how things is going at home with their newborn baby, Rio, whom they share with Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
The former contestant on Dancing With the Stars used her Instagram Story on Monday to provide her fans with some insight on how things have been going at home ever since the birth of their second kid. She also shared a photo of her and her husband holding their newborn son.
Peta informed the camera that she was “finally back, well back on and off,” as she nursed Rio. “I’m finally back,” she said. “I haven’t been posting regular updates because I’ve just been like ‘ah’…just trying to figure out everything and everyone, and life is going well. It’s great. Oh my word, little Rio is just the cutest thing ever. This youngster has won my affection. He is eating, sleeping and pooping all day long. Obviously, it is the only thing we do. I am here most of the time, or I am out there on the sofa, or I am in the kitchen trying to prepare a quick bite to eat, but it is all part of that lovely newborn period.”
The professional dancer said that her son is two weeks old and that she filmed the video as she was about to take him to the pediatrician for the first time. She was recording the video as she was getting ready to take him to the office. Peta, who is 36 years old, expressed her regret to the people whom she hasn’t been able to communicate with recently and assured them, “I will get back to you.”
Peta shared with her audience that she is attempting to strike a balance between the time she spends with Rio and the time she devotes to her and Maks’ son, Shai, who is 6 years old. Peta and Maks’ son Shai is very important to Peta.
She stated that “they say from one to two is a lot and I don’t feel it’s overwhelmingly a lot, but it’s just, like, you have to prioritize right now.” “They say from one to two is a lot and I don’t feel it’s like overwhelmingly a lot,” she said. “I’m really making sure that I have everything done for Rio by a specific time, like when she goes to bed, so that I can actually just be with Shai. I can just go into his room and read him stories, then put him to bed and go through the rest of our normal ritual for getting ready for night. This will give him the impression that he has me all to himself, which is something that I really like. I have no doubt in my mind that he regards it highly and adores it.
In addition to providing her fans with an update, Peta said that she is looking forward to relating the tale of Rio’s arrival to them.
“I’m dying just to tell you the story of how I got to the hospital, what happened when I got there, like, everything,” she teased. “I’m dying just to tell you the story of how I got to the hospital.” “Let’s just put it this way, I was one of those ladies clinging onto the countertops between each contraction in order to provide my insurance card. Peta and Maks were also paid a visit by Rio’s aunt and uncle while they were there. Jenna Johnson shared on her Instagram Stories that she had come to visit the baby with her husband, Val Chmerkovskiy, who also brought their son, Rome, who is 12 months old, to meet his newborn cousin. Johnson captioned a picture of the smiling family with the caption “Got to see my @petamurgatroyd,” which he posted on Instagram. “I’ve missed her so much, and it makes me so happy to see that she is thriving as a mommy to another beautiful baby boy.”
A month ago, Peta and Maks shared the news that they had welcomed their second child.

Peta and her partner quickly shared the news of the birth of their son with the world, and as part of the celebration, they screened a video of Peta giving birth.
“Happy Birthday Sweet Rio,” the mother of two children said in the birthday card. “Wow, that was one crazy ride!!!” With a midnight automobile rush towards the hospital not knowing whether Maksimc would make it or not, to the many hours of laboring down Mr. Rio till he was in the right location to push him out with four pushes……he’s here and he’s HEAVEN After all of that, he’s here now and he’s HEAVEN Immediately after the delivery, there was a time when I turned to my mother and said, “Did you text dad?”…When I discovered I’d forgotten he’d passed away, I was overcome with emotion and started crying. That was a significant time for me. I knew it was him because I could feel his energy there, and I am certain that he will be watching over all of us here and keeping us safe. We give thanks to God that @maksimc was able to make it on time. Laughing out loud, he made the drive from Napa Valley to West Hollywood in about 4.5 hours.
