Kit is a Turkish street dog that is 10 years old and was rescued from the streets of Turkey only lately. Kit went to the United States to visit her devoted adoptive mother, Lindsay Paluba, who lives there. The little dog seemed emaciated and worn out, but it was overjoyed to be back in its own territory.
According to what Paluba said to The Dodo, “She was very skinny, all of her front teeth were worn down, and she was missing all of the fur on her stomach and neck.” “Kit had no choice but to have all of her front teeth extracted, and as a result, she now has the cutest little gummy smile.”
Kit had spent the most of her life on the streets, so the newfound protection and warmth that Paluba’s home offered her was a welcome change.
When she got inside, Paluba stated, “Once she found her bed, she would quickly run over to it, and once she was there, she would not move.” “There was no question that she was in a secure environment there.”
At first, the courageous young woman had some uneasy feelings about the setting. Kit didn’t know what to make of her three new furry siblings or the affection that her parents were showering on her, but she soon realized that she fit in perfectly and didn’t need to worry about any of those things.
According to Paluba, “She waggled her tail nonstop on the bed and continuously inched forward to ask for pets.”
A hesitant grin appeared on Kit’s face just about the same time as his nervous but delighted tail wag appeared. She wanted to let out all of the love that she was harboring inside of her, but at first she wasn’t quite ready.
The kind young lady eventually emerged from her stoic stupor in its entirety.
“It only took a few days for Kit’s smile and tail wag to change from a nervous one to a happy one,” Paluba said. “It was like watching a switch flip.” “Once she had met her fur siblings, you could tell that she let her guard down.”
Kit’s health difficulties prevented her from interacting with her siblings to the fullest extent possible; nonetheless, this did not prevent her from becoming obsessed with them.
According to Paluba, “She absolutely adores following them around with her tail wagging.” “I believe that they contribute to her feeling more secure.”
Since then, Kit has been seeing day-to-day improvements in both her physical and mental health, and her personality has been developing even more since then. Kit, who was once a timid puppy, now rules the family with her boundless affection and vivacious enthusiasm.
According to Paluba, “She has taken over all of the dog beds in the house without making any distinctions between them.” “With each passing day, more and more of her unique personality is revealed. To this point, some of her favorite activities include eating, receiving pets, playing ball, and rolling about in the grass. She is now considered to be an official member of the family.
Kit is currently receiving therapy for both her weight and her skin, but she is fortunate to have the most supportive family in the world at her side. And the adorable girl does not allow anything prevent her from enjoying her life to the fullest and experiencing everything it has to offer.
According to Paluba, “She now has a smile plastered all over her face.” “She is the most perfect dog, and we adore her so much!” “We couldn’t love her more!”
