Leandro De Niro Rodriguez, Drena De Niro’s kid, passed away, the actress broke the news of his passing on Instagram late on Sunday night. Drena’s father is the famed actor Robert De Niro.
In a heartfelt message, the actress, who is 51 years old, said the following: “My darling precious angel. Since the first time I could feel you moving around inside of me, I have loved you in a way that cannot be put into words or adequately described.
“Throughout my life, you have been the source of my happiness, my heart, and all that is genuine and authentic. I really wish that I could be with you right now. I wish that I could be there with you. I have no idea how I will make it through life without you, but I will do my best to go on and share the love and light that you bestowed upon me by allowing me to be your mother. I wish that love, on its alone, could have been enough to rescue you since you were so truly loved and cherished.
Drena finished her homage to Leandro by saying, “I’m so sorry my baby,” and she also tagged Leandro’s artist father, Carlos Mare. Drena did not offer any other information on Leandro’s passing. “May you forever be at peace in the eternal paradise, my sweet boy.”
The comments area of Drena’s website was filled with messages of sympathy from Drena’s friends and family, including one from the filmmaker Lee Daniels who said, “Drena, may GOD keep you in his arms.”
Actress Rosie Perez also commented, saying, “Shocked!” I really do apologize! Everyone is here to support you!!! I can’t love you enough! I’m sorry.
On Mother’s Day, Drena posted some adorable images of herself and her boyfriend Leandro, who had a role in the 2018 film adaptation of A Star Is Born. She captioned the photo with, “Today was a good day,”
The eldest of De Niro and his wife’s seven children is a daughter named Drena. Actress Diahnne Abbott, who was his first wife, is the mother of his daughter.
In May, the actor most known for his role in the film Goodfellas revealed that his longtime partner Tiffany Chen had just given birth to his seventh child, a daughter that the couple named Gia.
