Fans have been given an entertaining glimpse at Sylvester Stallone’s family life in his new reality series, The Family Stallone. However, the renowned actor will be taking a more serious look back at his career and legacy in a forthcoming documentary for Netflix simply named Sly.
On Friday, the online streaming service released the first teaser for the forthcoming documentary that will be directed by Thom Zimny. The trailer provides an intimate look into the private life of the action legend as well as his personal views.
“Hell yeah, I have regrets,” Stallone admits in the narration of the movie. “What is healthier: to live under the illusion that you could have been great, or to actually have an opportunity to be great, and then blow it?”
In between scenes of himself, his wife Jennifer Flavin, and their three kids Sistine, Scarlet, and Sophia, he says, “Making a film comes at a great price.” “There’s not enough time for anything else.”

A portion of the documentary film shows Sylvester Stallone packing up his Beverly Park estate in Los Angeles, which he sold last year to Adele. Adele negotiated a larger-than-life monument of Stallone’s famed character, boxer Rocky Balboa, as part of the sale of the Beverly Park mansion.
“She responded by saying, ‘That’s not acceptable. That’s going to ruin the whole transaction,'” Stallone recounted the incident in a conversation he had earlier this month with WSJ Magazine. “She wished to purchase the statue.”
He said to the newspaper, “I like what she’s doing,” in reference to the upcoming upgrades that the diva has planned. “She’s making it look absolutely gorgeous.”
