The couple Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder now have a family consisting of four members. The former Twilight star, who is now 35 years old, made the announcement through her Instagram Story on Thursday that she and her husband, who is 44 years old, had just become parents to a son.
Reed captioned a photo of her newborn boy grasping her finger while resting on her chest with the caption, “A few weeks ago we welcomed our son on what can only be described as one of the most beautiful days of my life,” beside the image. “In an instant, my heart grew to accommodate the abundance of love that encircled me and the fact that I was born and raised in water.”
Reed said, “I have very strong boundaries with social media, particularly when it comes to children and what I choose to put out into the world.” As all of you are aware, “I have very strong boundaries with social media.” “I wanted to share this information first so that I can express my gratitude in advance for honoring those boundaries and for sending positivity, kindness, and LOVE,” she said.
Reed thanked both her midwife and her doctor, as well as the delivery photographer, before ending her message.
