Trip spent the better part of the last decade locked up at a facility that bred puppies. The little Chihuahua had only three legs (due to an accident for which the cause was unknown), rotten teeth, and extremely long claws, and it had no concept what life was like outside of its cage.
The National Mill Dog Rescue was able to pull Trip out of his deplorable existence in September of this year. They brought him to their animal shelter, and as soon as he got out of the car, his tail started wagging and wouldn’t stop for the rest of the trip. He was ultimately cleaned up and given medical treatment, and he became a favorite of the volunteers very immediately after that.

He was captivated by all of the attention that was being paid to him and wanted to go outdoors and investigate his surroundings. He did not allow the fact that he only had three legs or that he was old slow him down in any way.
National Mill Dog Rescue highlighted him in many films and brought him to a number of events throughout his time with them.

On the other hand, nobody took the initiative to do it. Before it was finally Trip the Intrepid’s time a month later, the ship had to wait its turn. After watching so many other dogs at the shelter being adopted, Trip’s new family arrived to pick him up shortly before Halloween and he began wagging his tail again.
The fact that he is now “one of the three amigos” in his new home makes him “overjoyed.”
We cannot express how relieved and glad we are that Trip’s tale had a good ending. Visit the website of National Puppy Mill Rescue to discover more about the ways in which you may assist, including the possibility of fostering a puppy.
