Having someone you love by your side while going through a challenging time makes the experience more manageable. The two rescued dogs, Pasta and Pepsi, were dependent on one another for both warmth and comfort after being abandoned outdoors in a neighborhood.
According to Suzette Hall, who was the creator of the group, “the neighbors told me that during the night they would lay on top of each other in order to sleep.”
A communication pertaining to the pups was sent to Hall five days after the original sighting of them. The villagers claim that the dogs did not move from their original spot at any point throughout the incident.
It was my choice to go, but as Hall explained further, “There’s no way those dogs are still there.” However, when I arrived, they were already sitting there waiting for me.
When Hall came upon them, the first thing he saw was how stressed out and matted the dogs were. It didn’t take long to bring in one of the dogs, but it was a lot more drawn-out process to bring in the other one.
According to Hall, “I won’t ever leave one behind if there are two,” and he went on to say that he would stay the whole night if it was required of him.
Hall placed the first puppy in a cage and placed the crate behind the humane trap so that the second puppy would be drawn to the crate. It was successful, and exactly two hours after the first puppy was rescued, Hall was able to successfully catch the second one.
However, as soon as Hall began her vehicle with the two pups in separate cages, she knew that the dogs were distressed over being separated from each other.
The information provided by Hall suggests that “they were attempting to get to each other.” It was quite clear to me that they could not function without one another.
Hall brought the vehicle to a halt, opened all of the containers, and assisted everyone in climbing into the front seat. When they were brought back together, Pasta and Pepsi immediately piled on top of one another, precisely as the neighbors had reported seeing them do when they were waiting for their owners on the corner.
“You have no idea how excited they were to see me when I brought them out. Their tails were wagging so hard!” Hall observed that they were unable to get in touch with one another in a timely manner.
Throughout the course of the rehabilitation procedure, Pasta and Pepsi have stayed together as a pair. They are going to be placed in separate foster homes after they have both made a full recovery from their illnesses. They are both now receiving treatment for their conditions at the same time at the local veterinarian’s office.
After spending some time in foster care, the two will be adopted jointly into a single home, where they will be able to continue to snuggle together while receiving the love and attention they have earned.
