A homeless individual who dashed into a burning shelter was hailed as a “guardian angel.”

At the Atlanta animal shelter, a kitchen fire led to the discovery of six dogs and ten cats. Keith Walker risked his life to save them. The 53-year-old, who has been without a home since he was 13, hurried to the WUnderdogs shelter on December 18 to save the animals.

“I won’t lie, I was a little anxious.” He was afraid to enter given the smoke. Keith told CNN, “However, God sent me there to help these animals.

“If you love a dog, you can love anyone in the world.” Given that my dog is my best friend, I knew I had to assist all these other dogs.

Even the firefighters had reservations about handling the dogs. They called Animal Control, but Keith had already entered and was taking the dogs and cats outside until everyone was safe, according to Gracie.

Keith, who Gracie describes to as her “guardian angel,” was already well-known to her since she permits him to have his own pit bull named Bravo each night at the shelter.

Keith was on his way to pick up Bravo and take him for a walk when he saw the fire.

Gracie said, “I can’t thank you enough for protecting my animals.” I’ve been around fires before, so I know how quickly they can start, so I can’t believe it. To me, he is a hero.

Fortunately, it was just a week till the shelter.
