Stassi Schroeder is not a fan of the vitriolic discourse that can be found online; nevertheless, she is also not a fan of Tom Sandoval.
The former cast member of Vanderpump Rules is coming out against Sandoval in a new interview on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast. In the interview, she reveals that the drama surrounding Sandoval’s affair with Raquel Leviss tempted her to start watching the Bravo reality program again lately. Even while she has lots of ideas about Sandoval as a person and as a co-star, she will not condone the vitriol that he is experiencing from complete strangers on social media.
She said, “I’ve been in situations in the past where I’ve been the target of so much hatred.” “I don’t like where we’re at in society where, like, that’s how we punish people,” she said. “Like, that’s how we do it.”
When Schroeder and her co-star Kristen Doute were sacked from the program Vanderpump Rules in 2020 for their racist acts towards their previous co-star Faith Stowers, she found herself at the center of a scandal that she had no control over. Schroeder was forced to issue an apology, and he subsequently went on the Tamron Hall program to discuss the impact from the scandal. Doute, who had an on-again, off-again relationship with Sandoval before he started dating Madix, is planning to make a comeback to Vanderpump Rules as a result of the repercussions from the Scandoval scandal. Madix and Doute’s breakup was the catalyst for Doute’s return.
Schroeder compared the current outrage being directed against Sandoval on social media to emotionally butchering people, and he stated this in reference to the criticism.
Who has the authority to determine what the appropriate penalty should be? She went on to ask, “Like, who gives someone the authority to speak about that?” “What makes this person sitting at their computer the authority on what they think constitutes an appropriate level of hatred for him to receive?” That’s not something I can get behind. I really, really despise the way that things is.”
But when it comes to her personal past with Sandoval, with whom she co-starred on Vanderpump Rules for numerous years, she claims that she never liked him. This is despite the fact that she worked with him for several years.
“Do I like Tom Sandoval? No. She continued, “Do I think what he did is disgusting and like, f**k him!” before her tone became more sympathetic. “But, like, so now I feel like I’m even contributing to it. “Like, the vitriol that can be found online.”
Cooper made it clear that what Schroeder is saying while responding to a question during an interview is distinct from the comments that random people make on the reality star’s social media photographs in which they threaten their lives.
Let’s just not do it as a bunch of individuals, shall we? Schroeder proceeded with his argument by saying, “Let’s just not.” “At some point, that is how people end up getting to the point where they are extremely depressed and, like, suicidal.”
Schroeder did confess to have some feelings of “fear of missing out” (FOMO) due to the fact that she would not be appearing on this season of Vanderpump Rules since she would have enjoyed the chance to delve into Sandoval during shooting. When asked whether she had ever liked the TomTom owner, Schroeder did not pull any punches in her response.
“No. “No, and he’s never been fond of me,” was what she said. “I feel as though my abilities have been thrown away because I was not on this most recent season.”
She continued while laughing, saying, “This was when I really could have really just given it to him and been like, ‘I always knew!'”
The author of Off With My Head acknowledged to experiencing feelings of annoyance due to the frequent portrayal of Sandoval that occurred throughout their time spent working together on the program.
She said that she had asked her producers, “When is he going to get the edit that like I feel like the rest of us see?” “I felt like he was always so beloved, and I would even say to my producers, I’m like, ‘When is he going to get the edit that like I feel like the rest of us see?'”
She continued by adopting a condescending tone as she said, “Why does he keep getting away with being just this dude who just wants to like, ‘Give people things and help people out, man?'” “That is not what I perceive at all. I’m seeing someone who is always shifting blame to other people, bringing up issues from the past, and generally just avoiding whatever attention they should be paying to themselves. If the rest of us make a fool of ourselves, then he will seem quite nice. This is how I’ve always felt about it.”
In addition to this, she said, “The fact that I’m not on it this season — it’s like, f**k.”
Schroeder, who is expecting her second child at the present moment, said that she did “miss” her time on the program, but that she would be cautious to bring her family into the realm of reality TV at the present time.
She remarked, “I had a great time filming.” “I spent my whole 20s engaged in that activity. I enjoyed the sense of community that it fostered, and I got along well with all of my producers, as well as the staff and the actors. Like, it’s fun. It’s a whole lot of fun!”
However, throughout the time that she has spent away from the program Vanderpump Rules, she has seen a paradox between the show’s popularity and the disintegration of the cast members’ personal lives.
“The success of the show is, like, directly tied to how badly the cast hurts each other, and that like feels weird,” she explained. “The success of the show is, like, directly tied to how badly the cast hurts each other.” “It’s dark. It’s f***ing dark when you think about it, when you truly think about it.”
Schroeder, who is now 34 years old, maintains strong relationships not just with her former castmates Katie Maloney and Lala Kent but also with numerous producers who worked on the series. In the year 2020, Schroeder secretly married Beau Clark, and the following year, in 2021, the pair became parents to their first child, a girl named Hartford. She claims that she will give birth to their kid in the month of September this year.

In reference to the possibility of her being on reality television again, she said that she did not believe she would ever do so because “I don’t think I’d want to put my family in a position to be in something where, again, the success is tied to how much you can hurt each other.” “It’s not exactly a healthy environment to be in. It’s not healthy for relationships, for example. You may be in the healthiest relationship and, I mean, if you think about it, it’s like Vanderpump Rules is like, ‘Who’s betraying who?’ even if you’re in the healthiest relationship. Who is having an affair with whom? Who’s trying to pull a fast one? And, like, on occasion, they fabricate things that, like, have never even taken place. Consequently, putting that kind of strain on a relationship, particularly one in which there are children involved, is something that I’m not quite certain is the best thing for me to do. But I do miss it, I do.”
