One month ago, on a chilly day, a good Samaritan was out strolling the streets of Albany, New York, when they stumbled across something peculiar. They were being seen by a pair of eyes as they stood next to a rubbish bin.

When the bystander bent down to have a better look, that’s when they finally noticed her: a little brown and black tiger cat that had been dropped among the garbage inside of a duffel bag and zipped up inside of it.

The kind-hearted person called the local animal control agency, and in no time at all, the kitten was being taken to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, where it would be secure.

Kara Murry, who is the intake coordinator at Mohawk Hudson, was the first person to meet the cat, who was eventually given the name Newt. Murry was astounded to discover that despite her horrific experience, Newt was simple to care for and really kind.

“I distinctly remember asking, ‘How could anyone throw you in the trash?'” You are so cute and cuddly!'” Murry explained it. “As if to say, ‘Thank you for saving me,’ she was purring and rubbing against us for pets the whole time,”

A veterinarian checkup was performed on Newt, and he was provided with an abundance of food and water. The amiable cat proceeded to win over everyone she came into contact with during the whole process.

“She came right up to me for pets and love the first time I met her, which was two days after she arrived,” Heather Ellis, a veterinary assistant at Mohawk Hudson, told The Dodo. “She came right up to me for pets and love the first time we met.” “She was very kind, and she always wanted to be held and played with pipe cleaners until she was exhausted.”

Newt was able to quickly make connections with the people who would become her new family. Newt met a guy who had been seeking for a new partner not even a week after she had arrived at the humane organization where she was volunteering. It was instantaneous attraction between them.
