The Wild ‘N Out actor thanked everyone for their well wishes in the wake of the surprising news in a statement that was sent to People on Friday.
“We thank everyone for their well wishes and ask for privacy during this difficult time,” DC Young Fly, who has three children with the TV star — Nova, 6, Nala, 2 and Prince’Nehemiah, 10 months — told the site. “We ask for privacy during this difficult time.”
On Thursday, a spokesman for BET Media Group revealed that Jacky Oh had passed away. Her age was 32.
BET Media Group expressed their sorrow at the loss of Jacklyn Smith, also known as Jacky Oh, in an Instagram post. “We are deeply saddened by the passing of Jacklyn Smith, known to the world as Jacky Oh, a talented Wild ‘N Out family member whose impact will be forever treasured and missed,” the post said. Throughout all five seasons of Wild ‘N Out, Jacky Oh served as a devoted friend to the group and was held in high esteem by his fellow cast members. She was a wonderful mother to three lovely children, and it was the most important thing in her life.
The conclusion of the statement said that “The BET Media Group extends our sincere condolences to the Smith family, DC Young Fly, B Simone, Nick Cannon, and all friends who loved and cared for Jacky Oh during this difficult time.” DC Young Fly, B Simone, and Nick Cannon were among the individuals mentioned.
Jacky Oh, a former television personality, passed away on Wednesday in Miami, Florida, for reasons that are now unclear, as reported by TMZ, which was the first to break the news of her passing.
