Nothing could possibly be more satisfying than freedom for Rambo. Not even food or a place to sleep. only the sensation of being unattached and unrestricted in one’s movement about the world.

Also, the rain was not going to stop Rambo from continuing his escape from the prison. This sad puppy had spent the previous 175 days confined in an animal shelter.

When he arrived to his foster home and learned that he could run freely and that he had not been restricted in any way, as he had been while he was still at the shelter, he rushed as quickly as he could.

The new foster mother of Rambo recorded the event on camera and sent it to the people who had rescued Rambo.

It was the first day he was sprung from the joint by the members at Forgotten Dogs Rescue.

“I cried tears of joy when his foster mother sent me the video clip,” said the volunteer at the shelter, Julie Saraceno. That was his second day in his foster family, and it was great to see the pure joy in his eyes as well as the sense of independence that he was experiencing for the first time.

The video shows Rambo moving around quite a bit, including some jumping. After that, he has the realization that he has limitless power over the landscape in front of him.

At that point, he starts walking in circles across the expansive lawn.

As he ran in circles around the yard, he weaved in and out of the landscaping and various other objects in the yard. It looked like Rambo was having a good time and breaking into a little dance.

The happiness that Rambo felt when he moved from the little concrete kennel he had been living in to the enormous yard with the lush green grass is palpable in the video.

Rambo did not appear to be bothered in the least by the rain or the wet grass.

After a vigorous workout, he was feeling a little spent and decided it would be best to head back inside with his foster mother. Rambo was one ecstatically happy young man. Even though sanctuaries can be of assistance to dogs, a dog’s wellbeing may suffer if it is housed in a shelter for an extended period of time.
