Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, who are known as “Bennifer” together, have not been able to keep their relationship out of the news ever since they got back together in 2021. It is always interesting to follow the lives of A-list celebrity couples, but Bennifer is one of the most iconic celebrity couples of the last several decades. One of the reasons for this is that both Affleck and Lopez have already established themselves as successful artists in their own fields; Affleck is an actor and director, while Lopez is a singer and actress.
The year was 2001, and the place was the set of the movie “Gigli.” They had their first date in 2002, and a year later, in 2003, they announced their engagement to be married. However, due to unfortunate circumstances, they had to postpone their wedding, and in 2004 they made the decision to no longer be together as a couple.
During their time together, the pair established themselves as one of the most famous celebrity couples ever. At the time, a source close to the situation revealed the following information to PEOPLE: “They were holding hands, embracing, and kissing. They did not make any effort to conceal the fact that they were seeing one other. They are really enthusiastic about one another and spending time together.
The pair made a concerted effort to see one another while they were still involved in a long-distance relationship. Another insider said that in order to make things work, they would make as many trips back and forth as they possibly can. They are no longer interested in concealing themselves. They are both thrilled with how their relationship is progressing. They are going to stop at nothing until they have done all in their power to make this happen. Jennifer is filled with overwhelming joy. When she is with Ben, she does not feel the need to alter who she is.
During an interview in July 2021, Lopez discussed the couple’s connection and said the following:

And I believe that once you get to that point, then incredible things begin to happen to you that you could never in your life fathom occurring again… I just want everyone to be aware that this is the most wonderful moment. In a separate interview with PEOPLE, Lopez discussed with the publication the aspects of their partnership that have evolved over the last 18 years:
“We are at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we need to be very conscious of those things.” “We are older now, which means we are smarter, we have more experience, and we have gained more knowledge.”
After just a little time of dating, the pair announced their engagement, went through with the wedding (again!), and then went on a vacation in Paris, where they were heavily photographed. It is quite evident that Bennifer is head over heels in love, and she makes no secret of the fact that she does not mind flaunting her affection for her significant other in public.
On the morning of May 3, 2023, Jennifer Lopez made an appearance on the Today Show. Accompanying her was her mother, Guadalupe Rodriguez. During an interview with Hoda Kotb, Jennifer Lopez discussed her relationship with Ben Affleck and said that their journey together served as the impetus for the creation of her next album, “This Is Me… Now,” which is scheduled for release in the second half of 2023.
“Over the last 20 years, I’ve been on an extraordinary trip through my life, and I believe that I’ve developed quite a bit as a result. The record is essentially about seizing those fleeting moments in life and preserving them. “Trying to capture what this moment was like 20 years later was a very different thing than falling in love and having that moment,” Lopez remarked. “Falling in love and having that moment”
The celebrity continued by saying that as she had become older, she had been able to better identify the priorities in her life, and she said:
“I believe that after you have some life experience under your belt, you have a better understanding of what is really important. I take great pride in my work. I have always believed that, but ever since I had children, my perspective has changed.”
Lopez went on to rave about how well her children get along with Affleck, claiming that her children “loved him.”
“He is a beautiful, amazing father to kids, and he also serves as a father figure. In addition to the three lovely children he has of his own, he is an incredible father to all of us. They admire him so much because he truly rises to the task of understanding what it is and what it means. They have a crush on him. She made the statement that “they appreciate him and so do I.”
Another individual who participated in the Affleck praise session was Lopez’s mother, Rodriguez, who said, “I knew that you would always get back together because I prayed for 20 years.” Rodriguez was referring to the fact that she prayed for her daughter and Affleck to reunite.
Lopez reacted with a glance to the skies, a mischievous grin, and a simple “OK,” before hurrying Kotb to “keep going.” It seemed as if Lopez had heard the phrase one too many times, so she responded with a look upwards to the heavens.
