It seems like Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are sticking to the initials of their relationship!
On Sunday morning, Katy Perry, who is 38 years old, shared with her followers some insight into the goals that she and Orlando Bloom have for their relationship by posting an Instagram photo of the two of them dressed up and telling them that they want their relationship to be “O.K.” and never “K.O.”
“The initials of Orlando and I together are O.K. We consistently put in the effort to ensure that they are not “K.O.,” as she mentioned in her post.
“Find yourself a partner that will go down to the mat with you and get back up every time,” Perry said in the description for the photo she posted on Instagram. I want you to know that I adore you, my warrior @orlandobloom.
In response, Bloom, who is 46 years old, sent the following message in the comment section: “I love you and our love bombswouldn’t have it any other way ”
The innocent post showed pictures of Perry dressed in a gorgeous black-and-silver gown and sporting diamond earrings, while Bloom was dressed in a blue suit with a black bow tie.
In the first picture of the Instagram carousel, Katy Perry can be seen cuddling up to her fiance, with whom she has been engaged since February of this year. Another picture in the carousel revealed a detailed glimpse of her wedding outfit.
Back in February, Bloom gave an interview for the cover of Flaunt Magazine, during which she discussed the struggles that she and her partner go through together and how there is “never a dull moment” in their relationship. During the course of the conversation, he referred to Perry as his “baby mama and life partner,” and he stated that they are currently in “two very different pools.”
Continued with, “Her pool is not a pool that I necessarily understand, and I think my pool is not a pool that she necessarily understands,” he said. “There are times when things are really, extremely, extremely difficult. I won’t lie.”
To which Bloom said, “We definitely battle with our emotions and creativity, [but] I think we’re both aware of how blessed we are to have uniquely connected in the way that we did at the time that we did, and there’s definitely never a dull moment.”
The couple first connected at an afterparty for the Golden Globes in 2016, two years before Bloom popped the question on Valentine’s Day 2019. The famous singer spoke on how their lives collided on an episode of American Idol and how it led to their meeting.
“I met my guy over In-N-Out. She said that while we attended the Golden Globes together, we did not end up sitting together. “So, I had my security guard go grab 10 In-N-Outs, and all of a sudden, I see my boyfriend’s hand — he wasn’t even sitting at our table — and he just swoops in and he grabs it, and I was like, ‘Hey, that’s my burger!'”
Even though the meals weren’t intended to be shared, the couple did have their first child together on August 27, 2020, and they named their daughter Daisy Dove. They made the announcement of the kid’s birth via UNICEF, a charitable organization for which they are both Goodwill Global Ambassadors, and they also posted a black-and-white picture of the baby when they were only a newborn.
In 2022, while speaking to PEOPLE about her brand of non-alcoholic apéritifs called De Soi, Katy Perry provided an update on her daughter and discussed the challenges and successes of being a parent. She said that Daisy was wonderful. “She is a combination of her father and I in that we are both fearless people with a lot of chutzpah and are just big characters. She is just like us.” Therefore, the product of the two of us working together will most certainly be seen.
She continued by saying, “It’s incredible to see everything new again through the eyes of a toddler.”
