The dog managed to live through the beginning of his life despite the fact that he was neglected, sick, and severely undernourished. At the time, Murray the Weimaraner and his three younger siblings were found as pups on the beach known as Dead Dog Beach in Puerto Rico.
This part of town is often referred to as “Dead Dog Beach” due to the fact that stray animals are known to defecate in that region.
Shortly after being rescued by the Sato Project, Murray and his siblings started exhibiting signs of the distemper virus that had infected them. Dogs may get the distemper virus, which causes damage to both their respiratory and neurological systems and is almost always deadly.
After the veterinarian saw Murray wagging his tail, they decided against euthanizing him and instead attempted to save his life in any way that they could.
